Hi, I hope you are feeling great
The answer to the question depends on each crafter. In my case I have fun playing with amigurumi shapes (each time I discover stranger things than the last, haha). This year I was planning to knit amigurumi of people keychain size (8cm) and a friend of mine made me this request so I accepted immediately.
Although most people find it difficult to knit small amigurumi, that's not my case...maybe it's because I love spatial geometry, so when I have a 2D (2 dimensional) image I already imagine it in an amigurumi version and I have an idea of how to knit it.
Of course, in small fabrics you have to capture the main details and make them stand out much more. For example, the details that a 13 or 20cm Bichota would have are different from those of an 8cm one. Here it is convenient to play with the already known stitch types, which will give different textures for each amigurumi depending on its size.
Talking about #Bichota, at first I had no idea who he was (haha). After seeing her concert in "Viña del Mar" (Chilean Harvest Festival) I remembered once I heard her music which is very good and the aptitude with which she performs and sings makes her stand out in her genre.
As it was a personalised one I changed the colour of her hair and put in her dyed locks. The pink carnation in her hair was given to her by Miriam Hernández when they sang a song as a duet. In short, I loved meeting "La Bichota".
Finally, my answer would be yes. Either if I plan to knit such a design or character or if I take it as a challenge to make an amigurumi version. In case I don't like the character (usually it's because he wears costumes with mixed materials that I don't work with) I quote the real price, that is to say, I include what it would cost me to buy the extra materials. And if the client agrees, chévre, but if not, I'll see you there, haha.
¡Y eso es todo!
¡Hasta la próxima!
See you next time!
