Hay dibujitos (animes, manga o video juegos) que formaron parte de tu niñez y te acompañan hasta ahora. Si bien escuché a gente hablar sobre One piece, lo que me sorprendió fue sabe que ese dibujo no tiene un capítulo final.
Dejando de lado el dibujo, hace unos días me enteré que tiene una serie en live action, es decir con actores de carne y hueso. Aquí algo llamó mi atención y fue el protagonista: Iñaki Godoy y es de México (yehhh). Cuando era niña, la mayoría de dibujitos (como yo los llamo) que miraba por señal abierta era con voz español latino. Luego supe que eran de México, jaja.
There are cartoons (anime, manga, or video games) that were part of your childhood and are still with you today. Although I had heard people talk about One Piece, what surprised me was learning that the series doesn't have a final episode.
Leaving aside the cartoon, a few days ago I found out that there is a live action series, that is, with real actors. Something in particular caught my attention, and that was the protagonist: Iñaki Godoy, who is from Mexico (yeah!). When I was a child, most of the cartoons (as I call them) that I watched on broadcast television had Latin American Spanish voices. Then I found out they were from Mexico, jaja.

Siento que el español latinoamericano es más expresivo, así como su gente: amable, alegre, animosa, cariñosa...la lista es larga. Es como si en el fondo hay como familiaridad entre latinos, creo.
Por eso decidí hacer mi versión de Iñaki, quien le da vida al personaje de Luffy en la serie de "One piece". Recuerdo que hice antes la versión anime, ese fue un pedido de una chica.
I feel that Latin American Spanish is more expressive, just like its people: friendly, cheerful, lively, warm...the list goes on. It's as if there is a deep-seated familiarity among Latinos, I think.
That's why I decided to make my version of Iñaki, who brings the character of Luffy to life in the series “One Piece.” I remember that I made the anime version before. This was a request from a girl.
La vez que diseñé a este personaje, me pareció sencillo. En ese entonces al no tener los ojitos de seguridad, le bordé los ojos para que sea similar al anime (dibujo). Ahora, tengo un estilo y los ojitos de seguridad son parte de ello.
Por otro lado, aún no conozco personalmente a un mexicano (a lo mucho virtualmente, jaja). Esto lo digo para saber el color de su cabello; si es realmente negro o marrón oscuro. En Perú tenemos ambos, por ejemplo la gente dice que mi cabello es realmente negro y abundante.
When I designed this character, it seemed simple to me. At that time, since it didn't have safety eyes, I embroidered the eyes to make it look like the anime (drawing). Now, I have a style, and safety eyes are part of it.
On another note, I still haven't met a Mexican in person (at most virtually, jaja). I ask this to find out the color of your hair; whether it is really black or dark brown. In Peru, we have both. For example, people say that my hair is really black.
A veces tejo tan rápido que no estoy atenta al número de vueltas constantes que lleva la cabeza. Aquí le agregué 2 vueltas más, para que quede a escala con el cuerpo.
Sobre el cabello; Iñaki tiene cabello ondulado y para mí las figuras onduladas tienen vida propia. Por eso, su cabello lleva una composición en donde alterné el tamaño de los mechones del cabello. También le bordé sus clásicas cejitas.
Sometimes I crochet so fast that I don't pay attention to the number of constant rounds the head takes. Here I added 2 more rounds, so that it is in proportion with the body.
About hair: Iñaki has wavy hair, and for me, wavy shapes have a life of their own. That's why her hair has a composition where I alternated the size of the strands. I also embroidered her classic little eyebrows.
