Happy Sewing Monday to all of us friends of Needle Work Monday. A new opportunity to show our talent, hobby or whatever we consider our art. In my case, I consider sewing to be one of my therapies that reassures me (when the clothes turn out well) and that makes me feel good, because each finished job is a small personal achievement. For this week of needlework I set out to finish the top part of the green and black outfit and I hope you like it as much as I do ❤️.
Feliz lunes de costura para todos nosotros, amigos de Needle Work Monday. Una nueva oportunidad para mostrar nuestro talento, hobbie o lo que sea que consideremos nuestro arte. En mi caso, considero que coser es una de mis terapias que me tranquiliza (cuando las costuas salen bien) y que me hace sentir bien, porque cada trabajo terminado es un pequeño logro personal. Para esta semana de trabajos de aguja me propuse terminar la parte superior del conjunto verde y negro y espero que les guste tanto como a mí ❤️.
I had several ideas for this bra but they were all superseded by testing a new mold. You know, I like to innovate and try new molds every time, playing with what will be the final project, a complete surprise. The good thing is that if the garment is large or small, it will still have a recipient within my group of friends. In this case, this bra was a little larger than expected so (with all my pain), this will not be in my closet 😅.
Tenía varias ideas para este corpiño pero todas fueron reemplazadas por la prueba de un molde nuevo. Saben, me gusta innovar y probar moldes nuevos cada vez, jugando con lo que será el proyecto final, una completa sorpresa. Lo bueno es que si la prenda queda grande o chica, igualmente tendrá un destinatario dentro de mi grupo de amigas. En este caso, este corpiño quedó un poco más grande de lo esperado así que (con todo mi dolor), este no estará en mi armario 😅.
I had already realized that this mold was bigger than usual despite being the same size that I always do, but I still decided to continue without removing any fabric. I was hoping it would fit anyway so I did everything as usual, joining 4 pieces of fabric together and putting elastic around the edges ❣️.
Ya me había dado cuenta de que este molde era más grande de lo habitual a pesar de ser el mismo talle que hago siempre pero igual decidí continuar sin sacar nada de tela. Tenía la esperanza de que me quedara bien de todos modos así que hice todo como siempre, uniendo 4 piezas de tela y colocando elástico en los bordes ❣️.
My original idea was to make a back with several elastics to make it look more like panties, but since the pattern was bigger than the one I had in mind, I didn't want to risk using the wrong back width measurement. That is why I decided to move forward with a simple bralette, where only an elastic is placed around the underbust and some straps with sliders ❤️.
Mi idea original era hacer una espalda con varios elásticos para que se pareciera más a la bombacha, pero desde que el molde era más grande que el que tenía en mente, no me queria arriesgar a usar una medida incorrecta de ancho de espalda. Es por eso que decidí avanzar con un bralette sencillo, en donde solo se coloca un elástico en el contorno del bajobusto y unos breteles con correderas ❤️.
The finishing touch to this ensemble is always the little satin ribbon bow. This is the only hand-sewn part that this set has: the rest is machine-sewn with dozens of small seams (even if it doesn't look like it). There are those who find this procedure tedious but I love it ❤️.
El toque final de este conjunto siempre es el pequeño moño de cinta de raso. Esta es la única parte cosida a mano que tiene este conjunto: el resto es cosido a máquina con decenas de pequeñas costuras (aunque no parezca). Hay quienes encuentran tedioso este procedimiento pero a mí me encanta ❤️.
Finally, this is what our green and black bra looks like. Lace has the ability to make any underwear design sensual and elegant and that is why I like it so much ❤️. In addition, I liked this fabric design because it is still black but adds a touch of color that is never too much to go out of the ordinary.
Finalmente, así es como luce nuestro corpiño verde y negro. El encaje tiene la capacidad de volver sensual y elegante cualquier diseño de ropa interior y es por eso que me gusta tanto ❤️. Además, este diseño de tela me gustó porque sigue siendo negro pero añade un toque de color que nunca está demás para salir de lo común.
And this is what the whole set looks like. In my opinion it turned out beautiful, but since the panties are mine, now I am forced to make a different one for the owner of the bra who will be my cousin (who was blessed with a little more bust than me). In any case, I don't think the high-waist panty is to her liking, so I'll probably make another design with a medium rise and a little less fabric 😅.
Y así es como luce el conjunto completo. En mi opinión quedó hermoso, pero desde que la bombacha sí es mía, ahora estoy obligada a hacer otra diferente para la dueña del corpiño que será mi prima (quién fue bendecida con un poco más de busto que yo). De cualquier forma no creo que la panty tiro alto sea de su agrado, así que seguramente haga otro diseño con un tiro medio y algo menos de tela 😅.

Everything is very nice with this project, except for the part where I have little time to sew it because I am traveling now and when I return home I will only have two days to do it before the big party, plus I also have to go home of my friend to look for the part that she is doing. I suppose you will be able to see this finished project in two weeks, when everything is ready. In my mind it will look great and beautiful, so I hope so 😅.
Todo es muy lindo con este proyecto, menos la parte en la que tengo poco tiempo para coserlo porque ahora estoy de viaje y cuando vuelva a casa solo tendré dos días para hacerlo antes de la gran fiesta, sumado a que también debo ir a la casa de mi amiga a buscar la parte que está haciendo ella. Supongo que podrán ver este proyecto terminado en dos semanas, cuando todo esté listo. En mi mente se verá genial y hermoso, así que espero que así sea 😅.
