Hello Needle Work friends! Happy Thursday everyone, I hope you are very well today ❤️. After my project a bit unsuccessful on Monday, I wanted to find out WHAT was the problem that the garment was smaller than I expected, BUT I found another problem even WORSE 😭.

Luego de mi proyecto un poco fallido del lunes, me quedé con ganas de averiguar CUÁL fue el problema de que la prenda me haya quedado más pequeña de lo que esperaba, PERO me encontré con otro problema aún PEOR 😭.
I decided to re-cut the same mold but one of my fabrics to practice with. These are scraps that I have to use to experiment with molds. I thought that the problem was in the elastic, since the mold and the panty shape seem adequate to me since they are made with my exact measurements.
Decidí volver a cortar el mismo molde pero una de mis telas para practicar. Estos son retazos que tengo que uso para experimentar moldes. Pensaba que el problema estaba en el elástico, ya que el molde y la forma de la bombacha me parecen adecuados ya que están hechos con mis medidas exactas.
I had sewn the pieces together with a straight stitch, fixing the crotch gusset piece so it wouldn't move when the elastic was sewn. All very nice up to there ...
Había cosido las piezas entre sí con puntada recta, fijando la pieza del refuerzo de la entrepierna para que no se mueva al momento de coser el elástico. Todo muy lindo hasta ahí...

Al momento de coser el elástico estaba siendo muy cuidadosa: como en la prenda anterior me había quedado muy ajustado, decidí coserlo un poco más flojo. No me gusta que las bombachas me apreten en la cintura y se me marque la piel, por lo que quería obtener una pieza con el ajuste perfecto. Lo estaba haciendo con toda mi paciencia, ya había cosido todo el elástico con la primera costura...

Strange noise. The first sign that something (or everything) is wrong. Then I discover that the needle does not move when I step on the pedal. The noise of the engine could be heard, but the machine did not move. Then I start to investigate a bit (I don't want to play a lot either for fear of ruining things worse ;-D).
Ruido extraño. La primera señal de que algo (o todo) anda mal. Entonces descubro que la aguja no se mueve cuando piso el pedal. Se escuchaba el ruido del motor, pero la máquina no se movía. Entonces me pongo a investigar un poco (que tampoco quiero tocar mucho por miedo a arruinar peor las cosas ;-D).
I find that there is something loose that should not be. I take it and I was able to take it out, ok, that should not be happening. It's the machine belt, broken 😭.
Decubro que hay algo flojo que no debería estarlo. Lo tomo y lo pude sacar para afuera, ok, eso no debía estar sucediendo. Es la correa de la máquina, rota 😭.
The truth is that it was broken in a lot of parts, so the poor thing had been holding on for a long time 😂.
La verdad es que estaba rota en un montón de partes, así que la pobre venía aguantando hace rato 😂.
Well, my machine breaking is a terrible thing. It is my third work tool, after the PC and the cell phone. Also, my favorite hobby, with which I can distract myself all the time. This machine is from 1950, fortunately it works very well and it is only the second time that it has broken since its first repair in June of last year, it is very resistant so I'm not going to get so angry with it 😅.
Bien, que se me rompa la máquina es algo terrible. Es mi tercer herramienta de trabajo, luego de la PC y el celular. Además, mi pasatiempo preferido, con lo que puedo distraerme todo el tiempo. Esta máquina es del año 1950, afortunadamente anda muy bien y solo es la segunda vez de que se me rompe desde su primer arreglo en Junio del año pasado, es muy resistente así que no me voy a enojar tanto con ella 😅.
What is bad is that for some time I have been saving to buy a new cell phone and lately I always have unexpected expenses in which I end up using part of the money, so the acquisition of my new phone is delayed more and more. But well, these are things that happen. Meanwhile, my doll will have to wait to have new outfits (I promise that the camera of my new cell phone will have a better resolution 😂).
Lo que sí es malo es que hace un tiempo estoy ahorrando para comprarme un celular nuevo y últimamente siempre tengo gastos inesperados en los que termino usando parte del dinero, por lo que la adquisición de mi nuevo teléfono se atrasa más y más. Pero bueno, son cosas que pasan. Mientras tanto, mi muñeca tendrá que esperar para tener outfits nuevos (prometo que la cámara de mi nuevo celular tendrá una mejor resolución 😂).
