Hello everyone :)
This is my first post in this community (correction...in a community). I originally posted these photos and story on my blog under the #LoveFriday tag.
Original post: LoveFriday - Help and to be helped - gentle hearts [EN] | Ajudar e ser ajudado - corações gentis [PT]
Although I think you may also like that inspiring story that I will resume and hopefully fit the #needleworkmonday posts quality.
About two months ago I met Neia, a great inspiring woman with the most beautiful heart that is actually helping others. How is she doing it? By sewing skirts...and more!

Neia sewed these three skirts with a piece of cloth I donated
What the project is
Neia is part of a local community that is packing 300 boxes with sewed skirts and donated clothes, shoes and household items, to ship to Mutarara in Mozambique. She has already 268 boxes filled (maybe more).
How long has she worked on it
It all started in 2014 December 23 in Portugal. It took more than one year to ship 304 boxes to Mutarara (35.000 pieces of clothes), but they received their packages!

Besides sending donated items to Mozambique, Neia knows a lot of people in need. She helps whoever knocks on her door or calls her (or her community) asking for help. She knows a lot of stories and people in need...and promptly does whatever is necessary for the good to reach those who need it.
In 2019 Neia's community continued to help those in need of clothes not only in Africa (16.231), but also Portugal (10.744), Spain (1.409) and Brazil (5.796). A total of 34.180 pieces of clothes were donated in 2019.
What materials and tools were used
Besides organizing and packing donated clothes or sewing skirts, she also reconditions clothes. For that she uses also donated cloth and her sewing machine. Neia is a professional stylist :D

What goals have I set and why am I making this
Neia and her community had already done the most difficult part.
I've donated a lot of things, but now I want to help them to arrange enough money to ship those boxes to Africa. Shipping costs an average of €30 per box, and all the help is more than welcome.
This is the first time I'm doing something like this and I ask for your help:
Vote and share this post or the original one LoveFriday - Help and to be helped - gentle hearts [EN] | Ajudar e ser ajudado - corações gentis [PT].
All the money earned with both posts will be donated to cover shipment costs
You can count on my honesty, I will post the results here, and in my blog. I hope this story will motivate you to do something to help others too.
Happy 2021!!
I just created this link in Buymeberries. Feel free to send some extra help.
