Saludos a todas y todos en esta hermosa comunidad. DÃas atrás tuve de visita a una amiga muy querida de la infancia de mi bello pueblo Caripe. Estuve muy contenta con su visita, aunque fue por urgencia médica que tuvo que viajar a Cumaná, me alegró mucho verla, ya que desde que inició la pandemia no he podido viajar a mi pueblo.
Conversando, ella me dice que su nieta está por cumplir su primer añito y que si podrÃa hacerle la ropa que querÃan que usara ese dÃa. Yo feliz, porque me encanta confeccionar ropa de niñas, tenÃamos el problema de cómo enviarlo luego a Caripe, pero decidimos preocuparnos luego de ese detalle.
Además del traje para el cumpleaños también me pidió que le hiciera otro vestido de fiesta para la niña. Pero el post de hoy no incluye esta confección.
Salà a la tienda de tela y para fortuna de ellas y tranquilidad mÃa encontré todo lo necesario y del color que ellas insistieron que fuera. Asà que no quedó más que ponerme manos a la obra.
She told me that her granddaughter is about to celebrate her first birthday and asked me if I could make her the clothes they wanted her to wear that day. I was happy because I love making clothes for girls, we had the problem of how to send it to Caripe, but we decided to take care of that detail later.
Besides the outfit for the birthday she also asked me to make another party dress for the little girl. But today's post does not include this confection.
I went to the fabric store and to their good fortune and my peace of mind I found everything I needed and in the color they insisted on. So I just had to get down to work.
Materiales / Materials
- White flannel fabric.
- Fuchsia tulle fabric.
- Fuchsia lining fabric.
- Fuchsia satin fabric.
- Gold fabric for decoration.
Para el inicio de este proyecto no tenÃa medidas de la niña, ya que todo salió espontáneamente, ya que mi amiga no tenÃa pensado pedirme que le hiciera este trabajo por lo que no trajo ropa de la niña que me pudiera servir, asà que me dispuse investigar por internet y tratar de sacar un pequeño patrón que me pudiera servir.
Comencé cortando todas las piezas
At the beginning of this project I had no measurements of the girl, since everything came out spontaneously, as my friend did not plan to ask me to do this job, so she did not bring clothes of the girl that could serve me, so I decided to research on the internet and try to get a small pattern that could serve me.
I started cutting all the pieces
Franela / Flannel
Corté la pieza delantera, trasera, mangas y cuello.
I cut the front, back, sleeves and collar.
Falda o TUTÚ / Skirt or TUTU
Corté cuatro piezas de 1,10 de ancho y 25 cm de alto, en tela de tul. Una pieza para la cintura en tela de raso y una pieza de 1,00 de ancho y 20 cm de alto en tela de forro.
I cut four pieces of 1.50 wide and 25 cm high, in tulle fabric. One piece for the waist in satin fabric and one piece of 1.50 and 20 cm high in tutu lining fabric.
Proceso de Costura de las Piezas / Piece Sewing Process
Franela Flannel
Para comenzar inicié cosiendo la parte de los hombros, luego procedà a pegar las mangas, el ruedo de las mangas, luego se pasó costura por los costados. A continuación trabajamos el cuello, para lo cual primero unimos los extremos de la tira del cuello para luego pegarlo a la camisa.
To begin, I started by sewing the shoulders, then I proceeded to glue the sleeves, the sleeve hem, and then I sewed the sides. Next we worked on the collar, for which we first joined the ends of the collar strip and then glued it to the shirt.
Falda TUTU / TUTU SKIRT
Para armar el tutu me pasó que como dije corté cuatro piezas, pero luego mi amiga me manda un texto para decirme que la niña era más pequeña que un niño promedio de un año ya que nació de siete meses. Por lo que sólo utilicé dos de las piezas cortadas del TUTU. Tomando en cuenta esto, inicié rizando cada una de las piezas, igual hice lo propio con la pieza del forro no sin antes coser su ruedo. Luego monté las dos piezas de tul a la pieza del forro, pase costura, luego pegue las piezas de tul y forro a la pieza de la cintura.
To assemble the tutu I cut four pieces, but then my friend sent me a text to tell me that the girl was smaller than an average one year old child since she was born seven months old. So I only used two of the cut pieces from the TUTU. Taking this into account, I started by ruching each of the pieces, and I did the same with the lining piece, but not before sewing its hem. Then I mounted the two tulle pieces to the lining piece, sewed the seam, then glued the tulle and lining pieces to the waist piece.
Proceso de Decoración Decoration Process
Franela / Flannel
Corte el número uno en una tela de franela color fucsia. Con costura a mano la pegué a la franela. Tome la tela dorada y forme como especies de triángulos, fueron 4 en total, los utilizarÃa para recrear una corona. Coloque un poco de encaje delgado para tapar la costura que quedó al pegar los triángulos.
I cut the number one on a fuchsia flannel fabric. Hand stitch it to the flannel. Take the gold fabric and form it into triangles, there were 4 in total, I would use them to recreate a crown. Place some thin lace to cover the seam that was left after gluing the triangles.
Falda TUTU / TUTU SKIRT
La decoración del tutu se basó en pegar con puntos de costura perlitas medianas en la mayor parte de la tela del mismo. Sobretodo en la parte delantera.
The decoration of the tutu was based on gluing medium sized pearl stitches on most of the fabric of the tutu. Especially in the front part.
La diadema o cintillo aunque lo publiqué en un post en otra comunidad, explico los pasos, que consistieron en hacer un lazo en la misma tela dorada utilizada para decorar la franela, luego tomé un elástico en color fucsia unà los extremos, no sin antes medir un contorno aproximado de la circunferencia craneal de una niña de un año y justo, en la unión del elástico coloque el lazo dorado.
The headband or headband although I published it in a post in another community, I explain the steps, which consisted of making a loop in the same golden fabric used to decorate the flannel, then I took a fuchsia elastic joined the ends, but not before measuring an approximate circumference of the head of a one year old girl, and just at the junction of the elastic I placed the golden loop.
Un poco largo mi post de hoy ya que involucró la confección de más de una pieza. Espero les haya gustado y me haya hecho entender. No soy costurera de profesión, disculpen si omito algún detalle importante, continuo en la fase de aprendizaje de este maravilloso arte que me encanta.
Debo decir que aunque pude ubicar un patrón acordé a una niña de un año, al enviarme mi amiga el mensaje para recordarme que la beba es siete mesina por lo que es más pequeña que un niño de termino normal, me inquieté un poco, ajusté lo necesario según mis cálculos, viendo una foto de la beba y gracias a Dios todo me salió bien. Lo pude confirmar al ver las fotos del cumple de la beba, que le pedà a mi amiga me pasara por whatsapp.

I am not a seamstress by profession, sorry if I omitted any important detail, I am still learning about this wonderful art that I love.I must say that although I was able to find a pattern for a one year old girl, when my friend sent me a message to remind me that the baby is seven mesina so it is smaller than a normal term child, I got a little worried, I adjusted the necessary according to my calculations, seeing a picture of the baby and thank God everything went well. I was able to confirm it when I saw the pictures of the baby's birthday, which I asked my friend to pass me by WhatsApp.
