Lindo día. Los sobrinos son una bendición, en varios de mis post he mencionado a una de mis sobrinas, porque es una de las más pequeñas y es también la que tengo cerca ya que vive acá en Cumaná, ella se llama Fiorella.

El sábado estará de cumpleaños y no me pidió nada en particular para ella, pero sí para su mascota Kira ya que para su fiesta de cumpleaños quiere que su perrita luzca un tutu, que según ella yo le prometí hacer hace un tiempo, la verdad no me acuerdo, pero no podía romper su deseo y me tocó sacar entre mis retazos un poco de tul ya que tiempo no tengo de ir a la tienda de telas.

Buscando, encontré un poco en color fucsia y azul rey y la combinación me gustó. Así que me puse manos a la obra para que la inquieta Kira pueda lucir fantástica en la fiesta de cumpleaños de mi linda princesa Fiorella.

Nice day. Nieces and nephews are a blessing, in several of my posts I have mentioned one of my nieces, because she is one of the youngest and she is also the one I have close to me since she lives here in Cumaná, her name is Fiorella.

On Saturday she will have her birthday and she didn't ask me for anything in particular for her, but she did ask me for her pet Kira because for her birthday party she wants her dog to wear a tutu, which according to her I promised to make some time ago, the truth is I don't remember, but I couldn't break her wish and I had to find some tull among my scraps since I don't have time to go to the fabric store.

Searching, I found some in fuchsia and royal blue and I liked the combination. So I got to work so that the restless Kira can look fantastic at the birthday party of my pretty princess Fiorella.

1.- Cortamos tres cortes horizontales de tul. 2 en color fucsia y 1 en color azul.

1.- We cut three horizontal cuts of tulle. 2 in fuchsia color and 1 in blue color.

2.- Pasamos costura floja lineal por uno de los lados de cada tul. Realicé la costura floja para luego halar el hilo y que se forme el ruche necesario del tutu. Esto lo realicé tanto en el tul fucsia como en el tul azul. Me gusta realizar el ruche de esta manera en los tutu porque me sale más uniforme ya que no estoy muy diestra con los pliegues que también se pueden hacer para rizar. Pero como ya comenté para los tutu me gusta más este método.

2.- Linear loose stitching on one side of each tulle. I made the loose stitching to pull the thread and then form the necessary ruche of the tutu. I did this on both the fuchsia tulle and the blue tulle. I like to do the ruching this way on the tutus because it is more uniform since I am not very skilled with the pleats that can also be done for ruffling. But as I already mentioned for the tutu I like this method better.

3.- After ruffling the three pieces of tulle I proceeded to assemble one on top of the other, sewing by hand to avoid mistakes.

4.- I cut a piece of razo fabric for the waist of the tutu. I sewed the ends leaving part of the center unsewn to place the tutu and then sew the tutu.

To finish I found some applications of tiny flowers and butterflies and glued them, I also made a bow to complement the decoration of the tutu.

Me gustó mucho el resultado y aunque pareciera mucho trabajo la verdad no lo fue y lo importante es hacer feliz a mi sobrina cuando vea a su perrita con este lindo tutu puesto. Con esto me despido confirmando que nada mejor que hacer lo que nos gusta y apasiona.
