Feliz y bendecido inicio de semana para todos los miembros e integrantes de esta hermosa comunidad de Needleworkmonday.
En ocasiones menos es m谩s y peque帽os detalles hacen la diferencia. Me gusta mucho trabajar las prendas que por una u otra raz贸n no usamos y transformarlas de manera radical en otra prenda. Pero algunas s贸lo necesitan un detalle o un agregado m铆nimo y se vuelven una prenda fant谩stica.
Happy and blessed start of the week to all the members of this beautiful Needleworkmonday community.Sometimes less is more and small details make the difference. I really like to work the garments that for one reason or another we don't wear and transform them in a radical way into another garment. But some just need a detail or a minimal addition and they become a fantastic garment.
Tengo una amiga con una altura fabulosa, tipo Miss y pues sali贸 de compras y se encontr贸 con una franela que le gust贸 mucho pero que creen? le qued贸 un poco corta y eso no es raro jajaja. Inmediato llam贸 a su amiga y pues me pidi贸 que pusiera manos a la obra y hacer que su franela tuviera arreglo.
I have a friend with a fabulous height, Miss type and she was out shopping and found a flannel that she really liked but what do you think? it was a little short and that is not uncommon hahaha. She immediately called her friend and asked me to put my hands to work and make her flannel to have it fixed.
Busqu茅 entre mis recortes y cosa rara, que busques una tela de las tantas que tienes guardadas, acord茅 para el trabajo y no te guste ninguna. Eso no me detuvo y me fui a la tienda de telas y encontr茅 el color que necesitaba y por supuesto el tipo de tela tambi茅n porque estaba pendiente que fuese una stress o franela y que no largara el color al lavarla ya que pod铆a da帽ar el resto de la prenda. Escog铆 una Micro en color rojo que con unos 25 cm estuvo m谩s que suficiente.
I looked through my clippings and it's strange that you look for one of the many fabrics you have saved, I agreed for the job and you don't like any of them. That didn't stop me and I went to the fabric store and found the color I needed and of course the type of fabric too because I wanted it to be a stress or flannel and that it wouldn't wash out the color as it could damage the rest of the garment. I chose a Micro in red color that with about 25 cm was more than enough.
Cort茅 dos piezas de unos 60 x 16 cm que colocar铆a en la parte inferior o ruedo de la franela tanto en la parte delantera como trasera, por eso las dos piezas.
I cut two pieces of about 60 x 16 cm that I would place at the bottom or hem of the flannel both in the front and back, so the two pieces.
Luego le di una forma semi circular para no trabajarla tan plana, de modo que quede el resultado m谩s, como un blus贸n que como una simple franela.
Then I gave it a semi-circular shape so as not to work it so flat, so that the result is more like a blouse than a simple flannel.
Me ayude con una costura a mano a tipo de bastas por todo el ruedo de la pieza roja para que al pasarla por la m谩quina de coser pudiera quedar mejor el ruedo en los bordes semi circulares, que en ocasiones tiende a doblarse o arrugarse un poco al pasar la m谩quina. Esto lo hice en las dos piezas rojas.
I helped myself with a basting stitch all around the hem of the red piece so that when I put it through the sewing machine the hem could be better in the semi-circular edges, which sometimes tends to fold or wrinkle a little when going through the machine. I did this on the two red pieces.
Luego las cos铆 a la franela original en la parte delantera y trasera, en costura lineal. Dejando que el ruedo inicial de la franela quede como adorno, haciendo el contraste y que no se vea como un simple empate de telas. Le agregu茅 como accesorio un scrunchies en color rojo para hacer un outfit m谩s completo que pudiera lucir mi amiga.
Then I sewed them to the original flannel on the front and back, in linear stitching. Letting the initial hem of the flannel remain as an ornament, making the contrast so that it doesn't look like a simple tie of fabrics. I added a red scrunchie as an accessory to make a more complete outfit that my friend could wear.
El resultado ha sido muy lindo, sutil pero que ha cambiado la prenda, de una franela com煤n a un lindo blus贸n que resuelve el problema de lo chico en cuanto a la largo ya que de ancho estaba perfecto.
The result has been very nice, subtle but has changed the garment, from a common flannel to a nice blouse that solves the problem of the small in terms of length since the width was perfect.
