Soy de esos fanáticos que incluso lloraron en la película de Pokemón 2000 con la canción de Lugia, con la "muerte" de Ash contra Mewtwo, que se vivió los dramones del Charizard de Ash, que siempre quiso que Pikachu evolucionara o al menos que se metiera en la pokébola, que siempre quiso saber cómo era ese lugar para los pokémons y demás.

Y para quitar cualquier tipo de dudas, también soy jugador de Pokémon, mi versión favorita es el Esmeralda y mi pokémon favorito de toda la historia es Treeko.

Creo que hablar de este animé es algo que podría hacer toda mi vida en todo momento, incluso, hace tiempo hice una reseña particular sobre él en esta hermosa comunidad, el cuál pueden encontrar al hacer click aquí, ahora, si me preguntan el porqué marcó mi infancia, la respuesta debe dividirse en varias partes.

La primera, es el hecho de los protagonistas, porque en ese entonces, yo anhelaba ser portero, justo esta seria había coincidido con el hecho de que yo estaba recién conociendo al Real Madrid y con este maravilloso equipo, conocía por primera vez a Iker Casillas, uno de mis impulsos, ídolos e inspiraciones para volverme portero.

Dentro de la serie, existía un portero conocido como Benji Price, el cuál era una leyenda deportiva, un portero que era capaz hasta de detener esos tiros al arco con poderes extravagantes y alucinantes de los rivales y hacer piruetas increíbles para dejar la portería en cero todo el tiempo, era para mí como una especie de héroe, al punto de que yo también utilizaba gorra en mis primeros momentos como portero, era épico.

Extráñamente este animé lo pasaban en Cartoon Network pero el opening no estaba en latino sino en una mezcla entre japonés e inglés, y siento que esta fue una de las primeras veces que tuve contacto con el inglés, pero lo entendí mucho más adelante, siempre recordaré esos buenos momentos viendo esos disparos al arco con efectos que desafían todas las leyes de la física y demás.
