Broken spirit and body
Greetings to all! Again I was late in continuing the story even though I thought I would resume my once usual pace but things happened that forced me not to have the opportunity to concentrate as necessary to sit down to write. I bring you chapter 09 of the World of Warcraft fanfiction, although unlike the previous chapters it's a little bit shorter. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it.
For those who wish to read the previous chapters you can do it here: PROLOGUE - CHAPTER 01 - CHAPTER 02 - CHAPTER 03 - CHAPTER 04 - CHAPTER 05 - CHAPTER 06 - - CHAPTER 07 - CHAPTER 08
ENGLISH
Veriziel opened his eyes, his head ached as well as the rest of his body. He spent a few seconds trying to remember what had happened until his gaze met Felendren's lifeless body, upon seeing it his eyes widened and he let out a split second scream "Yes... It's true... I killed him, I killed him, I killed Felendren" the thought immediately replayed in his head, he covered his face with his hands and realized that they were with some dark blood stains, he couldn't remember how they got dirty like that. He didn't know how much time had passed since his fight against Felendren happened, nor how long he was asleep or at what moment he fell asleep, he stayed for a while sitting on the ground hugging his legs until he heard the sound of flies eagerly searching for the corpse in front of him. He decided to leave, he was not in the mood for anything and he only felt stained but he was aware that he had to report what happened "someone must pick up the body" he thought while he made an effort to stand up but he could not do it without the support of his staff. He advanced little by little without seeing again the body that was already at his feet. There was a lot of silence and seeing no animas in that room he could deduce that as Felendren died and the draining of arcane energy from the main crystal of the academy stopped, the animas were no longer generated by themselves in the different areas. His legs were heavy and he felt that even with the help of his staff he would fall at any moment, his panting became heavy as he tried to exert himself and he could feel that his mana level was still recovering but his body was physically not ready for it, entering combat would perhaps be certain death.

As he approached the edge of the ramp he caught a glimpse of the river below the academy, he heard the water crashing against the concrete bases and the wind blowing across his face "Felendren said he threw several Sin'dorei from this height after draining them how many would it have been, how many would have lost their lives suffering trying to regain strength and get out of the waters?" the thought only wrinkled his heart, he felt further confusion in his mind "was it right that I killed him?", "he deserved it", "he was a life, I killed him like he was a beast", "that's what he was, a beast that didn't care about anything", "did I care about him at all?" questions and answers piled up as he did his best not to stumble as he made his way down the ramp. As he reached the lower floor he noticed that the large crystal that serves as the heart for the academy was still somewhat unstable but it wasn't losing its energy like before, it would be the arcanists job to finish recovering it completely. It hurt more and more to move forward, he could feel his wounds opening and it was a great effort to keep his balance. When he reached the ramp that would take him to the first floor he saw again the landscape that captivated him and stopped him for a few seconds of his mission, but this time he did not have the same impact, this time the same landscape in which he could see the forests, the Sun Spire and the silhouette of Silvermoon seemed gray, it was not the same, it was sad and desperate –"Am I seeing myself in this landscape or am I really seeing how the situation is now that I saw it from the front and I stained my hands with it? Maybe, it's a bit of both"– He said with a sad smile and dull eyes, resuming his way to the first floor.
When he reached the first floor he took a look at the other path that he did not take to go up and he could notice the presence of some arcane animas still roaming around that area "of course, Felendren only created them, they were not linked to him from his soul. Of course they would still be here" he thought without worrying and with the same attitude he advanced directly to that path he had not explored before. He passed in front of the entrance of the academy just to have a direct encounter with the animas without knowing exactly what to expect, he was aware that he did not have the strength to release an ice nova in case it was necessary, even with mana to use his ice discharge he could not aim well due to his constant dizziness. He wanted to die. He was close to the range of the animas but was not attacked. He walked between three of them but nothing happened, the animas ignored him, the animas stopped being hostile now they just wandered the corridors until they disappeared completely. –This is ridiculous, of course they weren't going to attack me! Felendren was the one who controlled them and supplied them with orders and corrupted arcane energies and he's gone. He is dead. Hahahahahahahaha. I can't even hope to be killed"– Veriziel laughed with pain in his body, he was bleeding in some parts and tears were coming out of his eyes that for himself it was hard to determine if they were from the physical pain, if it was from the laughter or it was the burden of consciousness. When he finished laughing he turned around and silently walked to the main entrance hall of the academy. He walked out of it without turning to look at it, he was still unclear how long it had been since he entered there but he was impressed with himself how he could not manage to think and feel the same as when he entered, as when he even saw the academy for the first time. His eyes could not find the fascination he felt at the time, he felt he was betraying himself.
As he went deeper into the forest, he remembered that it was full of hostile tender, and he laughed again –"That's funny. Hahahahahaha. I spent a wretched time dealing with the tenders so I could get to the Faltrien academy and hahahahahahaha, then I spent who knows how long finishing off animas that were more dangerous than them to then kill Felendren hahahahahaha"– Between each laugh the wounds opened wider and blood began to stain his robe, he didn't notice it, but his hand could no longer hold on tightly to the staff –"And then, And then the same animas that almost killed me stopped feeling interest in killing and now that I'm trying to return hahahahahaha it's the tender ones that are going to kill me because I no longer have the strength to fight them"– Veriziel could not stand much more, he took steps that took him nowhere "how pathetic I am, should I be proud of myself? I don't know, I don't know. I just want to be calm" his vision started to get blurrier and his body heavier "I just, I just want to help the kingdom, I just wanted to be true to my oath. So, if I'm really being true to it... Why do I feel so bad for having..." –"...done... it?"– That last word did not stay trapped in his thoughts, it came out freely from his mouth before finally falling to the ground, he had not lost consciousness yet, he could not see anything clearly, he could feel the dirt on his face, the ants walking through his hair, he was suffering in that darkness, his tears were coming out without any sound. He didn't know if he wanted to be saved, he didn't know if he wanted answers to his questions, it was no longer clear to him who he really was. After several minutes his thoughts completely shut down and he was unconscious with his face wet with tears and his body stained with blood.
–“…hecho?”
