For those who have read the previous post you will know that the 3D modeling helped me to know the dimensions of my furniture but it is not exactly the same due to the thickness of the wood and the choice of larger pipes for the structure, but the function and quality remains the same.

Last time I told you that I cut the sheet of wood, it was difficult to handle because it was very heavy and the edges were a little chipped, so with a pair of gloves and a lot of care I transported the big sheet until I could position it to make the necessary cuts. The progress of the jigsaw was slow, I could not rush the process too much because the cut could be crooked and there was also the possibility of breaking the blade by forcing the motor. Approximately each cut took me at least 10 minutes and I had to take breaks in the middle of the cut because the vibrations of the machine made my cutting arm extremely tired.

Once I cut the first section I could move the wood more easily to accommodate it and continue making the cuts. In total I needed 4 pieces of wood, the top board, two side boards where the drawers would go and a smaller board that would fulfill the structural function of joining the two sides as well as being a small support for storing things.

En total eran 4 piezas de madera las que necesite, la tabla superior, dos tablas laterales donde irían los cajones y una tabla más pequeña que cumpliría la función estructural de unir los dos laterales además de ser un pequeño apoyo para guardar cosas.
Once I had everything I needed, I went to the office with my father to pick up the materials. We took the truck to my house and I left them on the balcony of my house. I didn't assemble the furniture in the office because I needed to sand and paint the wood; besides, the assembled furniture would have been extremely difficult to transport, so I decided to assemble it at home.

I took the wooden boards up to the terrace of my house and used the electric sander to leave a smooth surface without splinters. I used putty to cover some areas that were damaged, I put on a glove and covered holes and imperfections. Once the putty was dry I sanded again, first manually with a coarse sandpaper and finally with the electric sander.

Once everything has been sanded, take a wet rag and remove all the sawdust, wait for it to dry and prepare the paint. It is necessary to have a clean and dry surface so that the wood absorbs the paint well. Take some sheets of newspaper and place them on the floor to avoid staining the terrace.
Una vez tuve todo lijado tome un trapo húmedo y retire todo el aserrín, espere a que seque y prepare la pintura. Es necesario tener una superficie limpia y seca para que la madera absorba bien la pintura. Tome algunas hojas de diarios y las coloque en el piso para evitar manchar la terraza.

I painted the woods in a period of two weekends, I spent many hours for a good finish, I gave them approximately two to three coats for a good surface finish and once they were dry I used a water based matte varnish to protect the paint. I moved all the woods back to the balcony of my house and waited for them to dry well, my whole house ended up smelling of paint so I had to open the windows to renew the air.

I asked my dad for help to make the holes in the metal profiles, we used some screws with washers to first place the upper wooden board, and when we had it in place we placed one of the wooden sides and fixed it with the screws, tightening it tightly. I took the other side and placed it parallel to the last one, I fixed it with self tapping wood screws to later fix the structure with the small sheet of wood achieving a sturdy and firm structure. I tell you all this as if it was easy and fast, but it took several hours, really my dad's help was very necessary because I could not have finished it without him. Once we verified that everything was in place we took a short break to start moving the big piece of furniture. We had to move a lot of things in my living room to reorganize the space. We lifted the piece of furniture and noticed that it was very heavy, so after several attempts to get it through the balcony door we were able to put it in place.
Le pedí ayuda a mi papá para hacer los agujeros en los perfiles de metal, usamos unos tornillos con arandela para primeramente ubicar la tabla de madera superior, ya cuando lo teníamos en su lugar colocamos uno de los laterales de madera y lo fijamos con los tornillos ajustando fuertemente. Tome el otro lateral y lo puse paralelo al último, lo fije con unos tornillos auto roscantes para madera para posteriormente fijar la estructura con la lámina pequeña de madera logrando una estructura robusta y firme. Todo esto se los cuento como si fuera fácil y rápido, pero llevo varias horas, realmente la ayuda de mi papá fue muy necesaria porque no hubiera podido terminarlo sin él. Una vez verificamos que todo estuviera en su lugar tomamos un pequeño descanso para comenzar a mover el gran mueble. Tuvimos que mover muchas cosas en el living de mi casa para reorganizar el espacio. Levantamos el mueble y notamos que era muy pesado, así que luego de varios intentos para pasarlo por la puerta del balcón pudimos colocarlo en su lugar.
I took my printers and tools to put them in place, the truth is that once I used the machines I noticed the difference in the printing quality, it is incredible how a firm piece of furniture can improve the quality of the work and the comfort.

Today everything is in order, but I still have to make the drawers, I know that when I have a little time I will be able to start making them to finish the project definitively. I am very happy to have achieved something I had set out to do and to have been able to save so much in its manufacture.
