Too many Christmas tree balls
Last year, we bought a bunch of Christmas tree balls and some other decorations. The thing is, we had no idea how many we would need in the end, and didn't want to have a shortage of Christmas tree balls. The result was a bunch of them not being used, now for the second year in a row. I decided to see if I can up-cycle them a bit to our liking to spread some newly found Christmas ornament joy around. The possibilities are endless as you can use things you already have at home, making a new design and maybe even total look for your Christmas tree. How cool is that?
Tools & Supplies
I will share with you which tools and supplies I used to up-cycle my old Christmas tree ball. As I mentioned above, you can give it your personal twist depending on your supplies. After all, I just want to inspire you to make your own creation and not waste any supplies when you can create something refreshing instead of throwing out things that aren't being used.
- Glitter Christmas ball
- Wide ribbon to make a bow
- 2 White feathers
- Small piece of wide tulle
- Small piece of leftover white satin ribbon
- Ornament hook
- Glue gun
- Scissors
That's it!
The Instructions
Attach the ornament hook:
Last, if needed, trim the satin ribbon edges a bit to make it look more appealing.
The End Result
I love it! I will up-cycle more unused Christmas balls and replace the plain ones in the tree with the up-cycled once. I hope you liked the tutorial as well, and maybe even got inspired to create your own design.
