Yes, I agree with you that we all have the capacity to choose, regardless of the nature versus nurture dilemma. Moreover, I believe that's what makes us special. Can a lion become a vegetarian? I don't know… Perhaps it's not the most appropriate analogy, but as a metaphor, it makes me wonder if, at least on a moral level, it's possible. I refuse to accept that I'm destined to be a slave to what's innate, of course, excluding gender ideologies or dysphoria. I don't see myself as a therian. Well, I also choose to respect those who think and behave differently from me, not out of political correctness, but out of compassion, in an exercise of empathy. I confess, it hasn't been easy, but the years teach when you're willing and hard knocks force you to learn, and therein lies the wonder of experience as a potential for human growth.
