Now, I’ve always felt that these promo card price tags are steep, but at the same time, I really don’t have much else to use my Vouchers on at the moment. The team keeps trying to find ways to add utility to them, which I appreciate, but the reality is that Voucher inflation remains a challenge. Still, I figured I might as well use what I had rather than let them sit idly.
So, off to the shop I went. I made my purchase, expecting to get exactly what I needed to hit my goal. But then—surprise! I ended up pulling a Gold Foil version of the card. Completely unexpected. A Gold Foil is obviously more valuable, but it threw my entire plan into question. I had to stop and think about what to do next.
At first, I wasn’t thrilled about the idea of spending even more Vouchers to balance things out. But after some consideration, I realized the Gold Foil would at least hold value long-term, especially since I could eventually put it to use on my land if I didn’t end up selling it. That made the decision a little easier. Begrudgingly, I went ahead and bought the extra copies I needed to round things out.
Now, I just hope that the next card to hit the Voucher shop isn’t as expensive—or worse, that the next set coming up doesn’t require a massive amount of Vouchers. They’re not exactly pricey, but I’m definitely not interested in spending more resources to get more of them. We’ll see what happens, but for now, I can at least laugh at the unexpected twist in my plans.
