I have to say, I’m a fan of this approach. It feels more dynamic and rewarding to know that as I improve my ranking, I’ll have the opportunity to get my hands on those coveted Rebellion reward cards. It’s a welcome change that encourages players to push harder and engage more during the season. Plus, it aligns well with the overall progression system, making the experience more streamlined.
That said, the sudden influx of energy after surpassing your max can be a double-edged sword. For someone like me, who has selective windows of time to play, it can feel like pressure to keep grinding when life gets in the way. The added energy gives more incentive to play, but balancing that with my schedule isn’t always easy. I imagine I’m not the only player feeling that tug between wanting to capitalize on rewards and managing time.
Overall, though, this was a great, unexpected addition. As always, the Splinterlands team continues to show their willingness to innovate and take community feedback seriously. They’ve made it clear that they’re open to fine-tuning the system, so I’m sure we’ll see further adjustments as they listen to players and observe how the update is received.
For now, I’ll be diving in, chasing after those new reward cards, and seeing how this fresh take on chests plays out. It’s nice to see the game evolve, and I’m excited for what’s next!
