After getting two of the best GF Legendaries from my last set of 101 packs, I felt at peace that my luck had played out. I just wanted to hit one home run on the overall pack buying hunt, and wound up hitting back-to-back homers. While the cards are cool, just beating such odds was the most satisfying.
With 292 airdrop eligible packs for this newest drop of the 3 new cards, I felt good about my chances of 83% for getting one regular card each. If not, I'd get one on the market or likely in future packs.
For the new drops, I didn't know the release was going to be at 4 AM. I happened to be up for the Discord announcement and clearly needed to stay up to see what I got. I'm figuratively reverting back to my StarCraft Brood War gaming days and am currently ok with it.
At 4:00, it was time to check each drop. First up was LIRA THE DARK.
As I opened the claim, I read the reward odds first without looking below. Moving on, I saw 0 standard cards and immediately figured this one was a miss. I looked below just to make sure it'd be a 0, did a double take (literally) to see 2 more gold legendary foils. Whaaattt???
Besides being generally odd-defying once again, I am baffled. I'm thankful for these and can level them up for the speed bonus, but can't use the L3 until my summoners ramp up. I'm only at L3 summoners right now.
What I was most thrilled about was the 25K in Collection Power. That's more airdrop weight than 2 land plots. With my Gold Quix and Gold Chaos Dragon getting me another 25K in CP, that's a massive boost for me to a sneaky 104,165 CP owned. I'm excited to get more SPS for these and boost my puny voucher yield rate again.
Also, the second card will be good for a passive rental since there's no need to combine them yet. This will be my first solid card I can rent and not want to have in my deck for battles.
As I'm cruising in Silver 1 now, and winning at a fairly high clip in recent days, my DEC earnings are starting to stack up. I definitely turned a corner there and am much more motivated to play for the earnings and streak bonuses. Playing with lots of gold cards is also helping, along with a 2% guild bonus. This DEC will slowly build to help with my SPS airdrop weight.
As for the other airdropped cards, I got 1 normal IZA THE FANGED and 1 normal GRUM FLAMEBLADE. I'm not sure how many packs I'll be buying to open in the near term, as the ones I get will be held until more airdrops come out to allow them to be within the packs, so I'll probably buy my way to a L2 GRUM.
