Hello everyone, it's been a while since i made a similar post. In fact, it's my second-ever post related to silver coins. Around 1+ years ago in my first post, i highlighted my first ever silver coin purchase which in fact proved quite profitable as i have bought it for around 30-60 euros and now it worths around 90-110 euros.
I always liked silver coins but there were 2 main reasons that restricted me from purchasing more. The first and main reason was that i basically had no money so there is that. The second reason which is still valid is that i always have a fear that someone may get into my house and steal everything. That is one of the reasons i like cryptos so much by the way. That's why even if i ever start purchasing coins more actively i still will buy way less than i can, having in mind that thought.
A couple of days ago a friend of mine was searching to sell a silver coin because he needed some money and couldn't find any interest in silver coins. I decided to buy it for 50 euros without any further negotiation in order to help him out, as he didn't want to simply give him some money. Turns out that this coin is currently sold for 65-75 euros, but when i told him he mentioned that he doesn't care he wants to give it to someone that he knows!
Before i provide more info about the coin i want to mention that in general, you can't say that i am a silver coin investor. Not only because i only have 2 but because the coins that i have or any coins that i will buy in the future will meet the criteria of whether or not i like the design. Ofc i won't pay double the price of silver coins, or buy something of no actual or future value, what i am trying to say is that i prefer silver coins that i like the "art" let's say.
So the silver coin you can currently see, is a silver Greek coin that weighs 34 grams and the 31.45 grams(925) are pure silver. Only 5000 will ever exist. As you can see in the not-so-good picture i have taken above, the coins number is 4326/5000, and is packed together with the certification of Authenticity of the Bank of Greece.
In case you are wondering what the hell are you watching while looking at the coin, besides the map of Greece, this coin is dedicated to the National Park of Pindos called Valia Kalda. This is a protected area where different species of fauna and fauna exist and also the second-highest mountain in Greece, called Smolikas is also part of it.
All in all it's a nice looking silver coin that holds some good value, at least in my mind. In general, my plans are to buy at least 2 silver coins in 2024. In best case scenario, i will buy 2 new coins as i mentioned and i will also try and gather some Hive and who knows maybe i can use the amount gathered to buy another one from a community member!
