Oops, it's Saturday. I should've been able to get this posted yesterday, but I got carried away by another write-up about Hive yesterday.
Well, here we go…
At the start of this week, I was not feeling great. Not that I'm not in good shape, I actually am, but I'm not in the same frequency that I should be if I had been consistent with working out.
And with transportation cost going up and up every day, It's going to be difficult for me to work out as often as I should. So knowing that going to the gym is almost at zero percent chance I decide to find another alternative.
I really wanted to talk about how my town has now become an epitome of hotels and all, but has almost zero number of standard gym around.
This is where the world is going to know where it's really all about the money, flex, and cruising without is worrying about our health and fitness anymore.
I talked about building a community in my last post and how Hive had made me to understand that it is possible to create a functioning community and society if we make it decentralized without letting things look like a pyramid.
There was actually a gym center that was near to my place and I have been member 2 years ago. But fast-forward to last year they closed down due to not maintaining their equipment which was what made many people stop going there and that made their sales to drop hence not having enough money to maintain the place.
Every so often we are our own problem because how would you want to be taking money from people without providing the same value in return or even make it less and still worthwhile?
Well, I don't have to rant anymore, but it pains me that they are now closed down and the only available choice I presently have is another gym that miles away from my house.
All of this is what now made me to start thinking about home workout. Which I rarely do because I've been accustomed to the feel of lifting something heavier than my body weight.
But it is what it is, and I cannot blame anyone for my challenges. If you're not in a good state physically, and mentally it's all your fault and hopefully, you don't get to suffer it when you're much older with little strength to work out anymore.
With all the talks and troubles of going to the gym, I now decide to do a certain workout routine for a week because I know it's an easy flex to work out at home.
So by me doing working on one set of muscle every week, that would help make it more efficient than average.
This week I decide to start with squat. The reason is that that's the building blocks for other workouts, be it chest back and overall body fitness. Squats are really great and honestly if all you can do are squats then your body will definitely thank you for it.
Since I'm going to be using my body weight for squats, I decided to increase the number of squats I do every morning to 100 every day. Sometimes I do it twice 50 first and another 50, and sometimes I just do 20 squats 5 times.
This, of course, is not the end of it because working the body is more about the internal body than the outer. Which is why I add in some stretch to help increase my flexibility and movement.
And I can assure you that after a few days into this I feel freaking great physically but even better mentally and emotionally.
This is getting too long, so ill end it here and go start with today's routine before going to work.
Thanks for reading. See you in my next post.
