But that's not all; big things are happening on dCrops, such as celebration of dCrops 2 years Anniversary, the Easter Event and the game's much-anticipated Cooking feature, which are all now live!!! wait, don't say Heh! and don't leave just yet; let me take you through the rest of the game's in-betweens. This post will reveal what new players should be aware of, and how the events thus far have impacted me. So come on in; this promises to be Legendary

dCrops being a blockchain-based game, allows us to manage our virtual farms and has seen significant development over the last two years, with new features like Cooking, Crafting, Workshop, Construction and Orchard.

Personally, the strong community aspect of dCrops which anyone can access on discord is one of it's strengths. We players can interact with one another, and share our knowledge and experiences. This fosters a sense of mutual respect and belonging among us, which is especially important in a virtual world.
On dCrops we are talking TSO [okay I coined this out just now] Transparency, Security, and Ownership of in-game assets, characteristics which I and most [if not all web 3] gamers find very appealing.

It's Sweet & Sour, sweet when I Earn and sour when I had to wait longer to Earn. But, it's been sweet the most part and I believe it's all tied to my love for the game and determination to make something out of it. Having had an almost 2 years of pleasure playing dCrops, allow me share with you some advice if you are a New player to the game.

MY ADVICE TO NEW PLAYERS STARTING OUT

The first question any new player would ask is, IS dCROPS PROFITABLE❓

As much as I would like to respond to you with an affirmative YES!, I'd rather let you understand the reason from my perspective as a player who just like you [or not you] started with little, now with extra and still growing.

👉First, dCrops isn't a get-rich-overnight game, in fact, no sustainable blockchain game is an overnight 100% ROI. As a player you need to be patient and put in the effort [time & resource]. Consider the long-term returns as this is a more sustainable approach.

🌱Here is a well known fact to keep in mind:

✅In dCrops your NFTS [Seeds & Lands etc] do not decay or expire, even if you pull or purchase an NFT, say 🍆eggplant seed(s)? These seeds will stay with you for as long as the game exist. Implying that, you do not need to keep buying this seed to replenish every season [you can add more of the seeds and lands to plant on though if you want to]. So say if you pull/purchase 10 🍆eggplant seeds, this is a one-time purchase and you can gradually for life recoup your Investment as well as profit from these seeds.

✅The same is true for land. Your land(s) will never expire, or get withdrawn from you because it's not rented/delegated, and you will be able to use it all year round.

dCrops loves to reward it's community by holding Limited time events, such as Halloween, Christmas and presently Easter.

I have noticed that these Limited-time events have been a great way to keep a game fresh and exciting for us players. They all have introduced thrilling challenges, and rewards that are only available for a limited period of time, this has sorta created a sense of urgency and excitement. I have so acquired 4 Limited edition cards from the two different events [Christmas & Easter].

Another thing is that, these event has incentivized we players to log in regularly and engage with the game, for example, bribing either Santa or working with the Easter bunny to distribute Present/Eggs to random players daily, this has been very beneficial for the community and game's longevity.

However, I have found these limited-time events to be abit frustrating . For Halloween, the challenges were too difficult for me to fulfil and then the rewards were sorta too exclusive. I felt discouraged and thought to not bother again, then Christmas came and I was more prepared. I found this Blog 👉 dCrops point event strategies by farmer Hive account@jfuji to be very helpful in preparing for this Easter Event.

What I have not enjoyed about the Event is whale dominance in the selling of shares. So we low tier players don't even stand the chance to earn decent CROP at end of season, neither do we end up with atleast 2 copies of the limited NFTs. Probably a regulation should be reset or remove the option where you can earn points from SELLING OF CROP and let the rest options fly. Well tbf, the whales legit deserve the spoil, so I shouldn't complain.

All I can end with on this is, try not to feel pressured to invest more than you are comfortable with during these Events or regular play. The game is meant to be Fun, so when the Fun stops, STOP⛔️
