Extra hard work to get stronger continues
"Guess it is back to the guillotine of getting stronger while there are a lot of extra places nearby and off to the other areas near Ark that need to be explored and cleared" Octharg thought to himself before heading into Brownrock Cave.
He was greeted by Entropy Mages, two of them to be precise and they weren't happy to be getting attacked in their local hideout and base which was established by their leader Anthal.
Further into the cave and through a door into a round room, our villain stumbles across multiple forsaken ones and the leader Anthal. They all start shooting lightning elemental damage at Octharg with Anthal close behind them and preparing to blast him with more damage.
It was not overly hard to take out the Forsaken Ones, but Anthal alone became a massive problem, with massive amounts of damage over time which leads to a death.
"Damn you Anthal, damn your magic but you better watch out!" whispered Octharg in his dying breath.
It was sneaky time with dealing some quick damage and luring them all out of the room, into the tight small corridors and letting the Fire Elemental take hits while it blasted them all, finishing off Anthal and allowed Octharg to rush in with his battleaxe that drained life as well, it was handy for taking out the forsaken ones due to high damage and allowing healing to happen at the same time.
"Take this knee to the face and take this battleaxe wound to your grave as you are killed for a second time around" shouted Octharg the Destroyer as he slaughtered each of the Forsaken Ones, showing them he is not to be messed with due to his power.
It was obvious from the corpse and piles of ash, that a massive fight had taken place with the clean look like it was all too easy, as the room had no signs of attacks all around.
Out in the wild after looting the rest of the cave and getting to breathing fresh air again, our villain stumbles upon a bear locked in a cage which could only mean a poacher is nearby... one he would come by shortly after, attacked Octharg in order to try stop him from taking the bear hide and selling it and the bear meat off for his own personal gain.
"Stop right there scum, leave my catch alone!" shouted the poacher before attacking and picking a fight he could not win.
Flame cloak did all the work, slowly burning the Poacher to death and ensuring a quick victory.
After killing him and the young black bear who was angry at the capture of its mother, rewards were using the poachers cooking station to make some more items for use and boosting in fights, including to heal up.
As one final push out here before heading back to Ark again, is the Old Borderwatch place filled with bandits and more loot to be gained, once it has been cleared.
Octharg looks at the bear traps and starts disarming them, thinking he is safe when suddenly... "Let's just open this door to see who is inside and..." he was cut off as a trap from opening the door made him basically blow up, instantly dying from being careless.
Luckily this time he was able to stand aside while opening the door and dodge the exploding projectile, revealing a lone bandit in the room, a quick disposal of them and then onward through the keep!
Further inside the Old Borderwatch Keep were of course more bandits. Like always, they are no match for Octharg anymore and he cuts and burns them all down with ease, one after another. Even Innkeeper Asire that was meant to have some strength, got taken down before she even knew he was attacking her.
"At least it is easy experience and loot here. No real challenge no matter how many there are coming for me, so I will be back in Ark in no time."
After all that work and after walking around for a short time to find the lower level area which has a back exit, our villain manages to find it.
Finally he could finish the last of these bandits which there were multiple of and the location down here is relaxing and peaceful. One by one he would fight and slaughter yet another and another bandit to free up the area so he could loot the lockboxes and chests.
Scroll of Ondusi's key was required to open both the lockbox on the table and the big chest, handy scrolls they are when you have poor lockpicking skills like Octharg does. "Here we are gaining access to these chests and lockboxes, better head back to Ark now and sell some things before resting once more."
On the outside of Old Borderwatch Keep, he cast his scroll of teleport to Ark and headed back to safety. One quick thing required along with the selling, was to claim the bounty for someone he had taken care off, giving additional coins to the collection.
This was part 26 in a series accompanying Octharg The Destroyer on his journey to regain his lost power and become the destroyer he once was.
Stay tuned for part 27 and see what befalls our villain.
