Finishing a big chunk of trainers then heading back to Fuschia gym
This is a play through of Pokemon Blue by using RetroArch to emulate the game. I am randomising the Pokemon in areas with similar strength so it isn't completely randomised, while choosing three starters of similar types
With all Goliath's main Pokemon ranging from level twenty seven to level fourty, the team was starting to get stronger yet they don't feel quite ready to proceed..
He didn't plan to face all these trainers heading east and all the way up to Lavender town. But some more will be faced to smash out more levels and then head back to Fuschia gym, one such battle saw an Arbok get one shot, from a critical hit with thunderbolt after Vulpix had taken out the Oddish.
Another cool battle though some Pokemon would faint, Pidgey was taken out by Graveler's rock throw and in one shot, this was before being switched out to take on Persian. Then Venonat poisoned and weakened it a bit before also being taken out and relying on Wartortle to finish the job using bite multiple times and another level gained for Graveler!
One of the next fights saw Vulpix taking out Beedrill and Abra for some quick and easy experience, then Muk took out the Poliwag and Omanyte and this got it to level fourty one and it was getting oh so much closer, to reaching level fifty.
There would be a few more battles to be fought after healing up, before going back to Fuschia gym and hopefully completing it for the next badge and to move on.
Venonat would continue getting some more experience and levels to grow stronger. This included getting to level twenty eight against a Pikachu which was nice overall.
After getting through to the last trainer battle Goliath was planning to do at this point in time.. one notable fight was going to be Dragonair against a Pigeot which could have been a an either way battle, if it wasn't for the ice beam being strong against it and this was securing the win so he could head back to Fuschia city by flying back.
Now it was time for Goliath to take on the rest of Fuschia gym, with the Graveler getting switched out for the previously caught Rapidash to boost the strength of the party and ensure it was going to be a bit more of a.. smoother set of fights that would occur.
The next trainer had a Rhydon as the first choice, one that shouldn't be using tail whip to try lower defence when the mega drain gets a good chunk of health taken away and is super effective. At least level twenty nine was gained and Venonat keeps getting stronger!
Rapidash would get its first action straight away into this battle. Gloom was the chosen Pokemon to be against and a few embers later and it was Gloom being down for the count and Goliath could now move on to the next trainer.
Only one trainer was left in the way of facing Koga for the next badge.. Beedrill was the first choice which started off with Vulpix getting off a confuse ray and attempting to burn it down, except for the rage the Beedrill used to do some damage.
With this trainer switching between Beedrill and Kingler it was annoying but, Rapidash got brought out to finish off the Beedrill before it was Kingler against Venonat, Kingler coming out on top and having to be taken out but Muk.
Finally after using items and getting ready for Koga, the battle began. Voltorb used self-destruct to weaken Dragonair but not kill it luckily.. then the Pidgeot brought out would allow ice beam to really mess it up and bring down the amount of Pokemon to be left.
With two down now it was onto the last two for Koga. An Omanyte only needing two thunderbolts and it was done for so there would be no messing about in this fight.
Last would be a high level Sandslash that took time to weaken down with water gun multiple times, it got off a toxic but nothing else could really do anything to Wartortle, plus Koga originally used x attack on Sandslash and now, the soulbadge was being handed over to Goliath so he could move forward again.
Emulator used: RetroArch with a Gameboy Colour core
ROMS: Pokemon Blue after being put through the randomiser
Saving: (Used for quick loading and for getting back to before I had all Pokemon faint, if I lose and so it is quicker.)

Stay tuned to see how I go with leveling, what team I am using and my journey as I progress through Pokemon Blue.
