I was too lazy to write on Hive.blog for a while ... I cannot believe three weeks has past since I posted last garden log 😅
Although it seems some plants don't like the soil or the environment, overall my small balcony garden is doing.
Now we have small harvests. Tomatoes are ripening and my daughter enjoys going out to the balcony and snack on them.

It is interesting that one sort of runner beans are doing while another one isn't. Both produced well last year in our outdoor garden. I use the same soil and the same pot. The one doing good is those I got seeds from my friend in the region. It can be too late but I planted some more seeds.
This year I try some dwarf variety. One of them and successful one is the chili called "Bonsai Chili". I like this nice little chili tree-ish plant. It starts making fruits too.
Talking about our gardening activities outside of our balcony, we enjoy picking black berries on streets.
Ja, it's always fun in the summer time. And don't forget to prepare for autumn. I started kales, broccoli and chards.

久しぶりの投稿になってしまいました。最後に庭について書いたのが3週間前とは・・・！
新しい土がやっぱりまだこなれていないかなあという感じで一部元気のない植物もありますが、大方まあまあ育っています。子どもが日々出て植物を観察しては、赤くなっているトマトをどんどん食べていきます。
庭の外では近所の茂みのブラックベリーを毎日摘んでは食べ、短いドイツの夏を楽しんでいます。
暑い日は続きますが、そろそろ秋の準備ということで月の初めに冬に食べるケールや芽キャベツ、チャード、ブロッコリーの種をまきました。30度を超える暑い日には家の中に入れるので若干徒長気味です😅
暑さに気をつけてガーデニングを楽しみましょう！
