First Potato Harvest of 2023. How Did It Go?
I tried an Experiment, this year, with Potato Growing. This video explores the result.
Normally, I grow all my potato in 3 or 4 Twenty Five Gallon (95 liter) Fabric Grow Bags. This year, I had a 10 gallon (38 liter) Grow Bag extra and decided to see what would grow in there. I always plant my Potato March 17th, St. Patrick's Day, in the US. My gardens are in New England, zone 6b/7a.
Typically, potato harvests are anywhere between 3 to 5 times the weight of however much seed potato you plant. Most year's, I get 5 times return, and sometimes, a little bit more. A few days ago, I harvested the 10 gallon bag, to see how the results were. Take a moment or two to watch this video, and see how my Potato Harvest Experiment went!
...and of course, if you SHARE the Video, too! MANY Thanks!
And that makes me smile... better for the planet, better for my own family.
