Snap Peas
Finally, the snap peas in my garden are ready! Some of them are still too early, but others are definitely ripe and ready for picking.
Before harvesting them, I needed to assist some of the vines that were damaged by the storm. They had bent down due to the heavy rain. Luckily, I found some nice branches that were nicely curved, and they looked perfect for supporting the vines. I tied the branches to the wires using hemp strings.
Since I started using those branches, the snap peas look stable, and they are now easily accessible for picking as they hang gracefully.
Additionally, I noticed that the green peas are also doing well. However, they are not ready yet, so I'll need to wait a little bit longer.
Anyway, it's becoming a very happy season for maintaining my garden and enjoying the delicious food it produces.
These are green peas.
Snap peas are nicely hanging in the curvy branches.

スナップえんどう
ついに、畑のスナップえんどうが食べ頃になりました！まだ摘むには早いものもありますが、確実に食べ頃になりました。
摘む前に、豆のつるが先日の嵐でダメージを受けていることに気がつきました。激しい雨によって茎が折れ曲がってしまいました。わたしは曲がっている枝を見つけました。豆のつるを下げるのにちょうどよい曲がり具合です。その枝をワイヤーに麻紐でくくりつけました。
豆のつるを、その枝につるしてからは、かなり安定しました。ちょうどよく垂れ下がっているので、採りやすくなりました。
それから、サヤインゲンもよく育っていることに気がつきました。ところが、まだ豆はできていません。もう少し我慢して待ちます。
庭の手入れをしたり、庭の食物を食べるのはとても楽しいです。
