Greetings everyone from Cambodia! This is a coffee blog that I have been waiting to do. Having a cup of coffee is my favorite part of the day. Yesterday, I searched for a coffee shop to visit, then I got the recommendation from one of my close friends, she said you can check where I want to go at BKK, it has a lot of stylish and many brand of coffee shop.
After 15 minutes driving my motorbike, there is a cool design coffee shop in front of my eyes. Of course, this café is called Pleng Chan, I spent my morning sitting at a cafe. In BKK Town, it is regarded as one of the trendiest coffee shops. Both teenagers and adults enjoy the vibe at this spot, where there is a book shelf for free reading, French bread, delightful coffee, brilliant service, and clean air.
French Bakery🥨 & Cambodia Café☕️
Before we start the coffee and bread review, I would like to show you the things that I find it a very cool decoration which is book shelf. The owner actually created a big space for reading. All the books are offering to those who come for free, you can read it as long as you want. It is located at the left side of the ordering area, they actually created as a book shelf for all reading lovers to enjoy reading books.
I find it a very cool idea to design a café with a good book to read like this. From one side to another side, there is always a seat with wooden chairs and tables, which is easy and comfortable for costumer to spend a long hours here.
Most of them are students and workers. Some people come here often since the internet is fast and the atmospheric is quiet, even though it might seems to be a lot of people sometimes, but it wouldn’t come up with a loud noise, like people here understand and don’t want to interrupt others people work.
Book shelter here provides such a great feeling for book lovers. When we go to this café and bakery, we can get great two things: delicious coffee to enjoy and a free book from all over the world to read.
There are various options for visitors to choose when it comes to books, however 70% of them are in English. Well, as I walked around, I also discovered that there is a French book here, most of which are books about history.
Another site is also book decoration. This area is cozy and with a green plant made for they want to keep the natural environment, providing a natural vibe for those who love greenery.
Coffee ☕️ Reviews
The first drink for today is Coffee Phumi with Cream. Second drink is for my friends, the green one. In fact, she told me she was able to reduce the amount of sugar in my drink, Avocado with Pandan leaf Frappuccino. Obviously, from 50% to 30%. Since she could still taste the actual flavor of the drinks and the smell was still improved greatly, so I also believe that reducing the amount of sugar in this way wouldn't result in a loss of flavor.
How imaginative they are is amply demonstrated by the decoration on the roof. For students or workers who like to complete their assignments or work in a cafe, I genuinely said that this coffee shop would be a good place for them to take into consideration. Both the wall and the items designed bring costumes a good vibe to enjoy.
I find it curious that not many people prefer to sit in this place where I sit, it might be because it receives direct sunlight from the sun. However, when I looked up next to the corner, I actually see the air conditioner.
This may be due to the fact that most of them value their privacy because as I open the door, I noticed that anyone waiting for a drink here will probably be able to see this area faster. I'm visiting this coffee shop for the first time, and I'm excited to see new decoration like this, so any seating space is OK with me.
The interesting part about this coffee shop is that the owner always bring with new updates drink for almost every weekend like this two drinks. I never try avocado with pandan leave before, this is honestly my first time ever.
All the menu that they just updated is could be depending on ceremony or celebration day like Christmas, Halloween, Valentines Day and so many more like traditional ceremonies as well. That is a cool feature of this coffee shop that really impresses me. Now is the perfect time to begin telling you about the flavor of these two drinks.
French Bread
The place where I stand is really full of baking smell. I really enjoyed the fragrant smell, feel so good to try the bread. The first bread that I really want to try is Chocolatine, I just imagine the way we bite it must be soft and a sweet and fragrant from chocolate in the inside. I hope to try it when I came here again.
Another bread is also one of my list which is Croissant, well did you know it is really similar to Cambodian snack calls Jakvay, maybe the texture isn’t too similar, but the flavor is actually like each other especially we enjoyed it with coffee or chocolate.
Outside of the shop it seems like it is lack of people. Mostly there is a costumer’s car, the parking car just in front of the coffee shop. Now, I am about to leave the shop. So, lastly I hope you enjoyed my coffee blog!
