It's a crazy day, with many type of food going on. The government had announced a full lockdown starting next week. In view of the seriousness of the situation, I decided to go and grab some good food for myself, so I don't feel regret during the "stuck at home" order. One more thing, forgive the orientation of the photo as I'm trying to make blog with portrait photograph(apparently it failed, so I'm gonna proceed with making everything centered for all the portrait photograhs).
Noodle stores shows these noodles going for RM6 to RM7, which is about $1.75
My favorite sticky rice dumpling. It's savory, tasty and there's beans, meat and also egg yold. Again, it's almost the same price with the rice. Bought 2 of these so I can keep in the fridge. Whenver I feels like eating one, I'll just take it out from the freezer.
This butter spread we call it Kaya, not exactly sure how to make it. My mom made it many years ago. It's sweet and has the pandan leaf smell to it. Tempting to buy one, but I guess I'll be eating it once or twice a month and the balance would be pretty much go straight to the bin and getting scold by home minister. So I didn't.
And they also sell pretty affordable butter pound cake. Which I think it will be a good idea to buy the Kaya spread and spread it on this cake. Darn it, I'm drooling as I made this pose.
A lot more variety of buns and pastry available, I just couldn't keep up with everything.
Chicken rice is one of the best in town. Not the cheapest though. It's slightly more expensive than other chicken rice stall, and it's near to my house, that pretty much tells you why I'd still come back.
And I ordered the prawn noodle. This is consider one of the better ones around the neighborhood. I won't use it to compare with the real deal in Penang. I haven't been to Penang Island for 2 years now. I miss the food there, and I miss my friend there and
.
Our lunch is set for McDonald's but all the outlets surrounding Kuala Lumpur is packed with people, and even drive through having trouble to get through. I had to take a huge detour and park my car and walk over to the restaurant to see what's going on.
Apparently, there's a new event called BTS meal. Not exactly sure who did this marketing. Buying a set of chicken nuggets meal with drinks and charge a crazy prize for the packaging. But surely, there's been a bloodbath, probably chicks fighting each others earlier, trying to grab their BTS meal.
It's sad that the happy corner that is suppose to be for the kid's corner now look extremely sad with the sealed seating area as background. Don't you think?
** The free gift toy range display looks a little dated, but I am sure kids will still like to see these toys there and wanted to bring them home.**
Packed my 3 pieces fried chicken and they're still crunchy. Fortunately they didn't make BTS fried chicken meal, or I'm gonna boycott them.
Nothing much too excited about dinner, as I went to the nearby restaurant, got ourself some sweet and sour meatball, white rice and fried egg. It's simple, but the sweet and sour sauce is really appetizing and kids finishes them all very quickly
