This time I will make Bakpao this cake is originally a traditional Chinese food. In Indonesia this cake has been around for a long time brought by Chinese descendants living in Indonesia.
This cake is easy to find both in Chinese restaurants and this cake is sold using a cart, in Indonesia this cake Bakpao, when translated Pao means package and Bak means meat.
The buns that we often encounter such as meat,chocolate,green beans,cheese and other variations. This cake is made from wheat flour to expand it is mixed with cake yeast.
I will try to make Bakpao with chicken meat, as for the ingredient,
Such as,
- 150 grams of chopped chicken
- 5 cloves of garlic,finely crushed
- 1 scallion,
- 2 tablespoon of sweet joy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon margarine for stir fry.
Ingredients for making package bakpao such as,
- 250 grams of flour
- 6 grams of instan yeast
- 2 tablespoon of sugar
- 2 tablespoon of white butter
" 30 ml of water - 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
Step of making the content of the buns,
Step 1 heat the teflon over medium heat, add margarine than add garlic that has been crushed finy,wait for it so smell good,
Step 2 add chicken meat, for stir,then add soy sauce,after sauce,salt and stir until cooked and set aside.
Step to making the wrapper,
Step 1 add warm water to a glass,add sugar,add yeast and stir,
Step 2 put flour in a container,add water that has been mixed with yeast and stir,to knead.
Add butter and salt,stir knead then cover the dough about 1 hours to let the dough rise.
Step 3 the dough is divided according to taste,then shaped into a round and flattened input the content of the cooked chicken meat.
Step 4 the dough that has been formed is then steamed until cooked and cover the pan with a clots so that the steam is tighthy closed, after cooked then lift and serve,this is for family consumption.
