This food is called Nasi jamblang(Jamblang rice). This for Cirebon Resident is already well know nasi jamblang or the Region language of Sega Jamblang.
The name Jamblang comes from the area a village called jamblang, and jamblang rice has a long history,teak leaves are a place for rice to become rice which is quite durable,and does not go stall.
History when people were forced to work during the colonial era, to make rice last longer from breakfast to lunch, the rice was wrapped in teak leaves.
Has its own characteristict, namely rice with teak leaf base, this teake leaves has its own taste and the aroma of the rice will feel fragrant and ffier.
Jamblang rice has been around for a long time. I tried to enjoy this rice,it is quite delicious and the price is quite cheap. The name of the place for Jamblang rice is quite popular.
Visited by both local and visitors from out of town,many menu choices such as basic ingredients from chicken,squid,shrimp,tempeh,fish,beef,tofu,and many menu choices,not to missed is the chili sauce,where jamblang rice seller some are selling on the road side and some are seller some selling in inside the shop.
