Hi hi Good morning 🌞. It's another brand new day. Indulging in the delightful flavors of kiuh in Miri, Sarawak, is truly a treat. There is something for everyone here to eat.
This traditional delicacy, often referred to as "kuih," holds a special place in the hearts of locals and visitors alike. This is the second time I am visiting Ban Hup. Luckily, this time there wasn't much people.
Which do you want to try? My favourite is definitely the one that is in the shape of a tortoise shell.
So, when in Miri, Sarawak, don't miss the opportunity to explore the world of kiuh. It is a type of taste that you will be remembering for a long time. Immerse yourself in the textures, flavors, and stories of these traditional delights.
The history of the restaurant written on the menu.
It's great to at times read about the history of a place.
Then, there are the different types of coffee.
All these coffee are unique in its own way.
Busy morning with people sitting there enjoying their meal. I guess before heading to work or another place.
The layered kiuh
These are some of the traditional delights that are hard to make. The texture has to be chewy and it cannot be soft. The different colours have different flavours.
My fabourites
