What's your breakfast usually like? A cup of oats with milk? Well, what do the locals in Hatyai normally eat for breakfast? Surprisingly, something very Malaysian. We found this little restaurant where the owner migrated all the way from Malaysia.

A night of deep sleep.

Prior to this day, I was out and about exploring the various spots in Hatyai. It was finally time to head back to Malaysia. One of the last stops was to have breakfast at a local restaurant known as ร้านกาแฟ โจ๊ก โกะ R̂ān kāfæ cók koa. It's great to have coffee here and have that morning vibe. The very relaxful feeling before the day starts.
There is the cooking station

Wooden and steel blended into one. This is also the coffee station. I owner brewing fresh coffee. The best thing about being so near a stall that brews coffee is the aromatic smell. Super duper amazing. Pleasurable experience for my nostrils.
A calm and cozy establishment

The decor has maintained as it was I guess since a couple of decades ago since it started its business. The owner said that he migrated from Malaysian and set up business here. The antique fixtures have that warm and inviting atmosphere.

It was still early so there wasn't that many people yet. Nostalgic.
On the wall, the portrait of the King and Queen

The altar for praying. What did my wife and I order? Some porridge, fried noodles and coffee.
The boss stir frying noodles.

The heat from the wok plus the stirring. Yummy plate of noodles.
The pot of porridge

The consistency of porridge has to be semi liquid solid.
The stove

Coffee

I usually order the coffee with milk. Without sugar. Just to see if the coffee is brewed to what is expected of coffee. The best coffee taste slightly bitter and is hot.
The bowl of hot porridge

Century egg. A quarter of it. Some century egg.

Nothing beats a hot bowl of porridge.

A pau

A plate of fried noodles

A plate of hot fried noodles. Simply delicious. Nothing beats the taste of this bowl of noodle. In a couple of hours after this meal, we had to go to go to a designated location and head back to Penang, Malaysia. Hope that you enjoyed reading this post. Have a great day.
