Snacks, sushi and night life

A lovely day. I had been at home the whole day. In the evening, I wanted to head out to the city to eat some sushi and grab some snacks. Load up our junk food.

I drove up to the upper floors of a shopping mall, saw this beautiful view and just took a photo. I always fall in love with night shots.

Then the view of the inside of the mall. Pretty quiet. Normally, when there are no tourist around, malls in the city become pretty quiet.

The forth floor and the view below. More staff than shoppers.

Then my wife and I went to Sushi King cause today, there is a bonanza. A plate of sushi of any kind for only RM 3.18 a plate or USD 76 cents even for Salmon or sashimi.

These are some of the takeaway sets ready for those who want fast food which I did not order because I always dine in. The food today was rather cold.

Then I went strolling around for a while before leaving the mall and drove to this mart where a lot of food are imported. I snapped another night shot.

The view of the houses across the street. Miri is a quiet place at night. Everyone seems to settle down and just doing their own thing at home. By 12 midnight, usually the streets are empty. In bigger cities that I've been to, it is Daily Mart.

Lots of imported food here at this mart. Some sparkling Chupa Chups from Korea. Lollipops turned into drinks.

My favourite section is the drinks section.. =) Refreshments.

Then the korean made drinks. I am not sure what they taste like but they do seem different.

The shelves where where groceries stack. Neat with loads of variety.

The aisle to the fridge. Saw some milk on discount. RM 3.99 or USD 90 cents. The first thing I hunt when I visit any mart is to look for milk. I drink coffee with milk every day.
