Greetings from me to all the Hive family!
As a person who lives in a rural area, interesting things are always presented when holding a family event. Gathering a large family to do a big event is something that is highly anticipated for those of us who live under the slopes of the mountains squeezed by protected forests.
Today is very exciting when my family held a thanksgiving event, we made various preparations to commemorate this thanksgiving event.
This afternoon we had built a small tent beside our house although it looks simple but this is a simple form of joy that will unite a large family in one simple small tent.
The preparation of ingredients for cooking had been gathered yesterday by my mother and father when they were shopping for groceries to use.
Starting from all kinds of vegetables that are usually grown by the villagers have been provided because it is to complement the food ingredients that will be served.
In the late afternoon, other family members started to prepare for cooking.
Look at the traditional materials and tools that will be used, green bamboo that has been cut into pieces and also a large frying pan already behind my house to be used in cooking activities.
On the side of the house my eyes snapped at the sight of a pig that had been dropped and had been burnt for food. It looks very primitive but the taste is very global when the pork is cooked in a skillet and in bamboo.
After all kinds of spices have been combined and the spices have blended with the pork and vegetables, the most unique moment to be seen will be presented and very interesting to look at.
When the night comes then it's time to burn. The pigs that had been crushed and stuffed into the bamboo began to be burned beside the bonfire that had been made.
This combustion process is very unique because it uses fuel from dry wood.
The pork in the bamboo will cook without using chemicals and it tastes very good and has very high nutrition because it is burned and not fried.
This burning takes a long time so that the pork inside the bamboo will cook thoroughly.
This way of cooking has become a tradition when our family celebrates. This tradition is a derivative that has been taught by ancient people and is still carried out even though it is in modern times.
Living in the village will never be separated from the primitive feel because basically a simple life with a culture that has been going on for generations will always be done even though nowadays life has been driven by the latest man-made buttons.
That's the concept of a traditional event that still happens in my village that I'm proud of. If any Hive friends will be in my village then let me know because I will welcome you with a traditional feel like this.
I hope you all enjoy watching our way of life which is still in the stone age.
Thank you!
