The Three Amigos Restaurant And Bar is located not far from my house and I have driven past the place many times. Each time that I passed by this restaurant, I always thought to myself, if I want to eat Mexican food, then I should go to this restaurant. In fact, I did not know of any restaurant serving Mexican food in Kuching. I suppose that this is a niche market and not everybody is into Mexican food. The only hesitation that I had is that my son Jonathan is autistic. Since this place is both a restaurant and bar, I was afraid that there might be loud music too much for Jonathan. I do not want him to have a meltdown in the place. However, curiosity got a better hold of me, and one night we decided to come here for dinner. We made an early appointment and we know that the place will not be too crowded then.

This is the entrance of the restaurant and there are some tables outside for those who wish to dine alfresco. I thought that the lanterns look a bit odd and do not go well with the Mexican theme.

Since we came early, there were not many diners then. I breathe an air of relief that the atmosphere was quiet and there was no loud music playing.

I suppose this is the Three Amigos.

Opposite the Three Amigos are the Three Senorita.

There is even a painting of a Mexican man in the toilet.

To maintain the Mexican theme, there are two paintings of presumably a Mexican man and woman on the wall of the restaurant.

The brick wall finish gives this place an earthly tone.

Overall, the decoration of the restaurant is quite simple. However, it still manages to create a cozy and pleasant ambiance.

This decoration looks more Chinese than Mexican. It is very common to see this beckoning cat on business premises as the Chinese believe that it will help to attract more business.

The layout of the place is divided into sections, the restaurant section occupies one corner while the bar section occupies the other. Since it is still early, nobody was at the bar.

This place serves a wide variety of wines.

We had a big surprise and shock when we were about to order. Despite its name and Mexican theme, the restaurant does not serve Mexican food but instead serves western food. We were quite disappointed and we ended up ordering the mix platter from the set menu.

The mix platter was huge and the four of us did not manage to finish the food. Despite the intial disappointment, the food was actually quite good.

Since we ordered from a set menu, the mix platter came with piazza. As Jonathan is on a glutten and caesin free diet, he cannot eat the piazza. But after explaining to him, he took it quite well.

It was still an enjoyable and delicious dinner although we did not manage to eat Mexican food. The portion was huge and the prices reasonable. We returned home with our tummies full and packed food.
