Let me say, I love long weekends now!
When I was in the 'work for yourself' world, I hated them. To me, they were just annoying days that the banks were closed and PayPal took an extra day or two to transfer money to my bank. That was a long long time ago lol
Now that I'm in the work world, I appreciate these weekends so much more. Here in Canada, it's Thanksgiving. For any American reading this, I have no idea why we have this holiday like a month and a half before yours but here we are...
I'm so thankful for this weekend. And here's why....
Since I've been working the traditional 9 to 5, a few things have been affected.
Obviously, my time on chain has been dramatically cut. And it hurt even more because of all the commuting I was doing. This weekend is now only 3 weeks away from my family being moved into our new home. Which is 3 minutes from my workplace! Thankful!
Next, all the commuting hurt my time being able to spend with my family. It'll be nice to be around the kids much more and it helps that their school is right across the street from my workplace. That's a win, plus the extra time spent with them. Thankful!
As for this weekend, I'm going to be spending it on three things....
I'm going to be working a lot of #jongojems my new subscription service on InLeo.
I'm blown away by the support so far from some amazing Lions!
you guys don't know what your support means. Saying I'm thankful is an understatement! I had no idea if Jongo was a thing on chain anymore after these past few months. But you guys showed me, I still have some gas left in the thank!
I'm going to do everything I can to make #jongojems the must have subscription on LEO. Plus we're going to have a lot of fun with it. I've got some ideas I'll be working on with it this weekend as well to spice things up. If you want to learn more about #jongojems , be sure to check out my post from a few days ago!
But here's the really exciting part about this weekend...
I get to spend a ton of time with my family and with God.
I've got some great spiritual books I want to dive into this week and I'll be able to get in a few hours of reading every morning while the family is sleeping lol Thankful!
And when they wake up....Family time :)
I can't begin to describe how thankful I will be for this time with them.
That's my 'Thanksgiving' weekend. We're back on the acreage with my wife's family. Her brothers and sister will be here. My mom will be here. Her parents will be here. So so so thankful!
