Sitting on the beach at low tide ready to enjoy a box of Anstruther's best loved chips.
This Fish and Chip shop was voted the number 1 chip shop in all of Fife by 10 independent food critics.
This building was built in 1885
This is the front entrance which is a restaurant
The side entrance is where we find the takeaway.
Across the street a cat is watching me from his window....
I sat on the beach just across from the old church to eat my box of chips. At high tide this area is not accessible ,this shot was taken at low tide.
The chips are freshly hand cut every day. They have a butteryness to them and are incredibly moreish. I need to try the freshly caught haddock some day. On this occasion I was curious to see how good the chips were.
Nice and crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside , they are pretty damn good chips. Do you want one?
Hi Everyone
Today I was out filming and taking photographs at a few coastal towns.
While in Anstruther I decided to visit "The Wee Chippy". I have never been to this chip shop before but was intrigued to try it after reading an article that voted it the best chip shop in Fife and one of the best in all of Scotland.
On this occasion I just bought a large box of chips which cost £2.50.The chips are pretty damn good. I don't know what kind of oil they fry these in but they have a light buttery taste to them.

I wandered over to the shore front near the old church to eat them. I noticed that the tide was low which made this area of the beach accessible ,normally when I come here the tide is high and I can get down to this part of the shore.
Overall I am pretty impressed by this chip shop ,I think I need to go back sometime over the summer and try some other items from there menu. If there chips are this good the rest of their food is probably pretty outstanding to.
