After our dinner at Jamaica Blue as mentioned at my previous post, we went around the mall to search for drinks or perhaps some desserts, if the stomach still could squeeze in extra. A few steps around and we saw Chizu!
Chizu and cheese drinks!
Husband told us that 'chizu' means cheese. And that this place is famous for their cheese drinks. Both boys' eyes brightened due to their love for cheese. Somehow, the word 'cheese' pulled them in. We started to look at the menu and saw all the drinks with option of 'with cheese' or 'without cheese'. They were really curious and wanted to dry the chocolate series one. They chose Nutella Chocolate Drink with cheese.
I actually asked the lady-in-charge about the cheese addition whether would the drink taste nice or too weird or too cheesy. I didn't want us not liking it and wasting it not drinking. She told me that the cheese was not the usual cheese. It is genuine cheese from Japan in a mousse-like foam manner, added on top of the drink, we could stir it to blend well with the drink. She assured me the drink would be delicious. And pleasant!
Croissants and Pastries
She also informed me in a luring way that they were having promotion on their croissants, buy 3 free 2. She asked me whether was I first time here? Yep, of course. She then said they sold delicious fresh croissants daily and since it was already near closing time, the promo was on. The boys and husband went and looked, and husband asked them to choose what they wanted. He really so loved the boys, ey. I was not so sure what croissants they chose as all the words were in Japanese (although there were English printed text but were way too small to read). But the lady was patient and helpful to explain each type to them. If not mistaken, they chose one with strawberries theme, one with chocolate, one with Crème brûlée, one with meringue, one with custard cheese. The boys really love their croissants.
Ambience
I was in love with the ambience more than the food and drink. Next time, I would like to dine here because the lady just told me they had started food series too like rice bowl series and also ramen. The orangey lights gave warmth feeling and the beautiful seats were comfortable for tired soul like me. 🤪 I saw the curvy orange seat and somehow I chose to sit down there. They have other types of seat for different setting too — for super big group, family or workspace and even solo.
We really love the Nutella Chocolate Cheese drink. The lady was right, it was delicious and mouth-watering, although in my personal opinion, people who don't prefer sweet drink will not like this. The addition of Nutella made the drink really sweet. We loved it though! The croissants were buttery, crispy on outside and fluffy on the inside. Next time when my children want some cheese drinks, we will come here again, while I try their rice series. I love rice more than drinks and croissants!
