Japanese Tea? Hmmm... not so but it was tasty!
A glimpse of the sunrise on the skyline got reflected on the rainwater in the town's road.
Keep pouring please, thank you :)
The simplest dish, Egaoya Rice.
Delicious and Creamy Carbonara.
Yesterday, we decided to take some days off from home and went for a drive 3 hours away. The husband had something in mind - go out and have fun.
So we headed out early, very early than our usual waking up hours. And just when we were past the town center, nature's work of art (sunrise) showed us its glory and so I captured it right through the car's windshield (second photo). I interpreted it as nature's way of making us expect a promising day and it was.
Everything was quite spontaneous - from getting our haircuts to having my hair highlights, napping on and off in the car, eating here and there, simply enjoying the day.
The little adventure included going for tea at a Japanese-theme small restaurant called "Egaoya". The tea was so aromatic that we emptied the teapot and almost asked for a refill, lol!
Then we had lunch, the husband opting for Egaoya Rice set (a cup of rice, some pickled ginger, beans, chicken filet, boiled egg and a piece of pork plus a delicious complimentary soup)
And me going for the creamy Carbonara which I had to share with the husband because it was too much.
Enjoyment, getting off routine, having fun - I guess that's exactly what we did yesterday and will be doing again today as we drive back home.
Wrote this piece while we were waiting for breakfast to get served.
