Oops, the name of the 3 artists were not captured well though
We took a road trip to another town called Kabayan last Sunday (29th January) and we have seen and photographed a lot of arts and murals along its streets. One wall of paintings made me feel kind of surreal seeing it for the second time after over a year. I have shared a few photos of the same artworks in the Street Art community way back in 2021 when we first passed by the area.
At least this time, the repair and maintenance works along that route were already finished so we were able to take some decent photos. The two-lane road is going downhill so the only option for us was to slow down although we can pull over on the gas station. Glad there were no other vehicles passing by so we had the road for ourselves.
The snapshot of the place is old and yet to be updated on the map but this is where it is.

Little did we know that Kabayan has a lot of hidden attractions and we learned that through the murals. There's the Lake Tabeo (Tabeyo) which we visited on Valentine's Day of 2022. And many others we are yet to explore like Lake Latep-Ngapos, Asapa Falls, Tinongchol Burial Rock, Opdas Cave and the Fire Mummies (which we intended to check out that weekend but was closed) so we ended up just traversing through the town roads and photographing landscapes and artworks.
In addition, there is the Mt. Pulag which is a favorite spot amongst mountaineers and hiking enthusiasts. This is one of those places that the husband and I had on our bucket list. Even had plans to hike and camp through the night until the sunrise. But due to some physical challenges, it had been pushed back and now remains just a dream. Who knows one day we'd be able to conquer it.
Here are some screen captures of the place via Pinmapple.
Apart from these attractions, we believe that the town has quite a lot to offer for those wanting to explore and learn its culture and heritage. Fingers-crossed and hoping that someday soon, we'd be able to go back and see most of it.
Meanwhile, it's Tuesday here and I'm left dreaming, lol! The rain had been quite generous yesterday evening so it's looking gorgeous outside with our yard plants greener than ever. (Will be sharing some shots later for sure!)
