Trip to Sigtuna, Sweden

I often find myself heading to Sigtuna when I need some time to clear my mind. There are moments when I feel down, crave solitude, or simply want to collect my thoughts, and this charming town is the perfect escape. Located on the outskirts of Stockholm, it’s just a 45-minute train ride away, making it easily accessible when I need a break. I remember visiting in July; the weather was refreshingly cool, so different from the sweltering summer heat in Japan.

While I was there, I visited the local museum, which offers some fascinating insights into Viking history. Walking around the town, I couldn't help but be captivated by the rune stone monuments—each one a reminder of the Vikings from over a thousand years ago. Sigtuna truly feels like a special place where you can connect with the past and experience the enduring legacy of those ancient times.

Sigtunaには気分的に元気が失くなったり、散歩したいなぁと思ったり、一人になりたいなぁと思ったり、考え事をしたい時に頭を整理するためによく行きました。ストックホルムの郊外に位置していて、電車で45分ぐらいで行くことができます。この写真は7月に行った時に撮影されたものです。スウェーデンの7月はとても涼しく、日本の夏と違い汗を全然かきません。本当に清々しい夏を過ごすことができます。Sigtunaにある博物館ではヴァイキングの歴史を学ぶことができ、市内には1000年以上前にヴァイキングが残したルーン石碑が点在しています。古のヴァイキングの歴史に触れることもできる、素敵な町です。
