Today’s solo ride was a refreshing escape as I cycled from Fourlanes to Nwaniba, then onto Barax Road. Covering a distance of 4.02 kilometers in just 11 minutes and 15 seconds, this ride was short but filled with energy and focus. The 15 meters of elevation gain added a subtle challenge, making every pedal stroke count.
The route itself offered a mix of smooth stretches and slight inclines. Starting at Fourlanes, I felt the thrill of picking up speed as the early morning breeze hit my face. Transitioning onto Nwaniba, the road stretched ahead like an open invitation to push harder. The traffic was light, allowing me to maintain a steady rhythm and enjoy the calm of the solo ride.
Barax Road, with its familiar turns, brought back memories of previous rides. There’s something about cycling alone that feels liberating—no distractions, no competition, just me, my bike, and the open road. It's moments like these that remind me why I love cycling: the sense of freedom, the quiet introspection, and the constant push to improve.
Though 4 kilometers might seem short, every ride counts. Each session adds to my endurance, speed, and love for the sport. Today was a reminder that every pedal stroke, no matter how short the ride, is a step toward progress. I’m looking forward to longer rides, more challenges, and the endless roads ahead.
Here’s to more cycling adventures—because every journey, no matter the distance, is worth celebrating.
