White & Dark Chocolate Ice Cream
When we arrived in Malaga, we were quite tired
Sitting in the airplane as well as carrying our luggage was quite the hassle. Not only did we carry 5 suitcases (2 small ones and 3 big ones) plus hand luggage, we also felt like taking a shower and changing our clothes asap. In Budapest, I decided to take my knee boots even though they were half torn inside, they are still comfy shoes to wear while traveling. I could not part with them yet, and therefore I had overheated legs while sitting on the plane. I was more than happy to kick these out as soon as I could take a shower in the hotel. Our hotel room was nothing like the one in Budapest, so I have to give kudos to the airport hotel in Budapest for that, your family room is WAY better than the Holiday Inn in Malaga, but let's be honest, I could not care that much at this point. I just wanted to have a shower, some food, and sleep to prepare for the final part of the trip: the 3-hour bus trip the next morning.

So we had a few drinks in the lobby while waiting, which was fine because their chairs were very comfortable. Before we knew it, it was time to be seated and order our food. I was surprised by the reasonable prices on their menu honestly, they were overall quite good and not as expensive as I'd expect them to be in a hotel. I honestly didn't know what to pick though, but while deciding I saw a HUGE plate of vegetables pass ordered by another guest, and by the look of it, I was amazed that this was one of their dishes as nothing was really expensive. Eventually, our daughter ordered chicken fingers with fries, my boyfriend went for the tenderloin with fries and I ordered fish & chips.
Everything was great
With one exception: the first badge of fries was fried in oil that was not hot enough and sucked in all the oil, which is not great. I ordered a separate plate with fries and these were crispy and very good. I think they were freshly made as well. The salad they gave me with the fish and chips was simple but so tasteful, I even enjoyed the tomatoes while I'm not a tomato fan at all! The tenderloin was super tasty! We ordered another salad to go with it as my boyfriend always has stomach issues and he hoped this would be avoided by eating enough veggies. He was right! This was the very first day in a LONG time, that he had 0 complaints about his stomach after eating things that would normally cause him to have pain and sometimes even worse. None of that happened! I can even say it didn't happen at all four days later. Which is remarkable!
Ice cream dessert
Our daughter had a kid's menu including 2 scoops of ice cream and she could pick which flavor she wanted. They had white and dark chocolate and she picked these. They were truly amazing! Great choice!
Not expensive & good quality
We especially loved the fresh vegetables and felt so blessed eating this simple food to be honest, as we have had trouble enjoying that in Hungary for years. It almost seems as if there's something bad in the air that causes my boyfriend to have these stomach attacks. Yes, that sounds weird, I know, but if you had seen and heard what I did over the past years upon arrival in Budapest, and have seen his health decline no matter how strict he was with certain foods, at some point, it just didn't matter anymore what he ate, it all went bad. This is like a totally different person I have here in front of me. I'm very happy though, and even more happy to be here for him and his health!
