This restaurant is a nice place to try out Peranakan street food and traditional desserts. I ordered a bowl of Nyonya Laksa, Mee Siam with rendang chicken, and Cendol. Nyonya Laksa is sort of like a hybrid between curry laksa and Asam Laksa. Mee Siam or Siam rice vermicelli is a rather common breakfast or lunch dish in Malaysia. It has a tinge of sourness due to tamarind paste. Lastly, Cendol is a perfect dessert for hot and humid weather. It contains coconut milk, palm sugar, and various toppings such as kidney beans, red bean paste, pandan jelly, and glutinous rice dyed with butterfly pea flower.
