Saludos y Bendiciones.

Greetings and blessings.!
Hello, friends!!! Today was a road run—8 kilometers at a moderate pace. We’ve had days of heavy rain; when I woke up, I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to go out for a run. Even though it wasn’t fully light out yet and it was quite windy, my husband and I decided to take a chance and go for a run. Today’s route was the flattest one I have in my city—the one that takes me to the ocean—with a beautiful view that never ceases to amaze me, since every sunrise is more beautiful than the last. It’s a great reward for those of us who get up early to exercise. At the two-kilometer mark, it started to drizzle, but thank God it only lasted a few meters. It cleared up and the drizzle stopped—thank goodness we didn’t stay home and took the risk, receiving our reward with such beautiful weather. The goal of today’s workout was to maintain a pace that wasn’t too comfortable or too moderate—an intermediate-paced workout. The first few kilometers were spent in Zone 3 and Zone 2. I’m sometimes surprised by how there are workouts where my heart rate stays quite low despite the intensity of the training—this makes me very happy.
When we reached the halfway point of this route, we stopped to hydrate and take some photos. As we stopped, I felt the sweat pouring off me; there was quite a bit of humidity in the air. On the way back, I lowered the intensity a bit because it was uphill, and my heart rate started to rise. Then I suddenly remembered what the great coaches always say: we mustn’t risk our health, so it’s very important to keep the heart rate within the target range. By the last stretch, feeling a bit more fatigued, my heart rate was mostly in Zone 4. I felt really good during today’s workout😎
