Saludos amigos
Greetings friends
Saturday, official day of the long training, this time we combine the long training with a very nice but very rough slope, we decided to go on the weekend to do this slope because during the week it leaves us well loaded and the recovery is slower, and when we are going to do the series of speeds it affects us a lot, and we know the importance of introducing in the training routes with steep slopes because they help a lot to improve strength, endurance, aerobic capacity, it works a lot for me because I really work my mind a lot when I feel that my legs can't go any further.
To climb this slope we usually go in the car until the beginning and warm up a kilometer before starting around, but as it was Saturday my husband and I decided to go from home jogging at a comfortable pace that until the beginning of the slope are 4 km approximately, to reach the foot of the slope we breathe, I hydrated and began to climb, a very short pace, so in this way try to get to the end which is about 3.5 km without stopping, the weather was nice, cool, I felt comfortable I held a little more than last time, but in some sections I stopped because it really is very challenging this climb, I stopped to stabilize my palpitations, breathing, and hydrate and continued, but it was much better than last time.
When we reached the end of the slope where the mountain house is, we rested for a while to recover, we hydrated ourselves, we took some nice pictures, the view was spectacular. On the way down we alternated between gentle jogging and walking, as the descents are so steep you have to be careful not to injure your ankles, hips and knees, which are the ones that suffer the most on this type of route, by slipping or overexerting yourself.
And we continue with the training for the 10 K, with the HIVERUN team.
Hasta la próxima amigos.
See you next time friends.
