We received some hopeful news yesterday - as the test results the gastric lavage to check for metastases in the peritoneum came back clear. Which means that despite stomage cancer and involvements of local lymfe nodes, there is hope! Hope, not only at slowing down but potentially on cure! We will keep our faith, hope and fighting spirit strong so we can face this obstacle in our lives! 🙏
After the 50km run from Tuesday, I didn’t train on Wednesday. But today it was time to do a short injury check run. In this run I wanted to see if there was any deep tissue damaged from my long run. In order to do that safely I aimed on 6.8km of zone 2 pace (+/- 5:00 / km) and then gradually increase towards Marathon Pace (4:15 / km) and finally do a little push at the end to shortly access zone 5. Should you have any injuries, you would feel them during this set (and ofcouse stop the set upon noticing).
My run gave me 0 signals that there might be any injury. Furthermore because the 50k run was almost completely zone 2 - the muscle soreness was negclectable aswell.
I could just use this run to clear my mind a little!
