5km Run in the Drizzle

Hello, runners… Is it okay to tell you about my run this evening? I wanted to release some stress from what's happening in my government. Oh yes… of course, luckily I had a run, which was very effective in reducing my thoughts a bit. Just imagine, the legal system at the prosecutor's level is no longer able to take firm action against corruptors in my country, while an honest former minister has to swallow the bitter pill of an 18-year prison sentence and a civil lawsuit of over 5 trillion rupiah. This news made it into The Times New York and is being watched worldwide. The economy? Clearly, our currency has weakened significantly.

Moreover, every day there are confusing issues arising from our government system. I ran this afternoon, wondering what kind of low point my country will reach?

Fortunately, Setu Gintung brought a friendly breeze. It was cloudy and drizzling lightly, but it didn't rain until I finished the five-kilometer run. I'm grateful that nature was still kind to me. I finished my run with a time of 35:51 minutes and an average pace of 7:08/km. Today is the weekend, but because it's cloudy, there aren't many people. Not as many as on a sunny weekend.

I'm grateful to be able to resume this responsibility. Yes, I feel like running is a responsibility I owe to myself. Back when I started running, I prayed that I could do this forever. Honestly, being consistent is a huge challenge. But I hope I can keep running. Thanks to you in this community, I've found the motivation to keep running in mind.
