Buffalo wing is an unbreaded chicken wing section that is generally deep-fried then coated or dipped in a sauce consisting of a vinegar-based cayenne pepper hot sauce and melted butter prior to serving.
Today, I'm going to share to you a different twist in preparing this famous dish. Let's start with the list of ingredients:
1/2 Kilo of chicken wings
1 pack of breading mix - Spicy
1 egg
Sauce
2 tablespoon of butter
2 tablespoon chili flakes
2 tablespoon chili powder
1 small pack of tomato sauce
1 bottle of sweet chili sauce
Salt and pepper
I was not able to include the photo of the breading mix that I used so as the preparation with applying the breading mix to the chicken wings. It's just quite simple, mix 1 piece egg, chicken wings and half of the breading mix, the other half will be used as final coat.
Now that we have the ingredients ready, let's start cooking!
- Deep fry the breaded chicken wings until it turns golden brown.
- Make sure that all part of the chiken wing is properly cooked.
- Drain the excess oil to keep your chicken wing crispy.
- Once your done frying, set it aside and trasfer the chicken wings in a plate with a paper towel to absorb remaining excess oil.
Sauce Preparation
- Over low heat, melt the butter on the pan.
- Next, add the tomato sauce and mix it well for the butter to evenly blend with the tomato sauce.
- Once the tomato sauce and butter mixture starts to boil, add the chili powder and chili flakes.
- Add sweet chili sauce to the mixture and season with salt and pepper depending on your taste.
- Lastly, add the fried breaded chicken wings and mix until evenly coated.
Thank you for taking time reading this post and have a safe day ahead.
