Hello friends,
Today for lunch we had one of my kids favorite meals, mashed potatoes with cutlets. They’re not huge fans of cooked veggies but can it some of it:-) Otherwise how they are going to learn liking them.
Ingredients
1 lb of ground beef
1 onion
3-4 cloves of garlic
5-6 Potatoes
2 Tbsp butter
1 Bell pepper
1 small pack of bella mushrooms
5-10 florets of broccoli.
I washed potatoes very well, and put them in pot. Then I covered potatoes with water, brought them to boil and cooked for about 30 minutes or until you can prick it with fork easily. After they’re done cooking, I rinsed them in cold water and peeled the skin. I know that Americans eat them with skin, but my kids won’t eat it.
Then I mashed potatoes adding some butter and salt.
I like making cutlets the easiest way it’s possible. I just add salt and black pepper to ground beef, shape it like cutlets and fry them in the pan (I don’t have grill). I cooked them on one side for 5 minutes, then flipped them, cooked for another 5 minutes. While they were cooking I added garlic, bell pepper, and at the very end broccoli. All in all I cooked cutlets for about 30 minutes. Until they were completely done. I don’t risk eating medium or rare done.
This part was for my husband. I sautéed mini bella’s with garlic and bell pepper for maximum of 10 minutes.
Here how my kids’ bowl looked.
I forgot to take photo of my husband plate, he eats at different time:-)
