Sat Nam Dear Readers
A few days ago, a friend to whom i have suggested joining Hive, referring to my posts on Hive, wrote this to me:
I'm disappointed that for you every real story is how to make/get money there.
I have not replied yet as i did not wish any reply to be a reaction. At first ("my") ego popped up his head and thought - no, that's not true.
Reflecting on this though, i realise (real-eyes) that there is some element of truth in the statement, but it is definitely not every story (post) and definitely not the only reason. Although i didn't deliberately do this as a result of the comment by my friend, i did not have the inspiration to make any posts and therefore have not posted anything (other than some comments) for a few days (until now).

So, here is my response (as opposed to my reaction) to the comment from my friend (Noting to myself that i am responding via a post on Hive - and will share the link with my friend - as opposed to simply replying directly, and this post will likely get some votes and therefore earn some rewards!).
For sure it is nice to be rewarded with $HIVE cryptocurrency (and sometimes also with #hive-engine tokens), but there are MANY other reasons why i post on Hive.
Why do i post on Hive?:
The content i post on Hive is immutable. It cannot be deleted. It is very likely it will be there forever.
The content i post on Hive is censorship resistant. What does this mean? Well, it is possible for the content to be partially hidden. This might happen if the content is inciting violence, or contains child pornography, or is plagarised for example. In these instances the poster could be put on one of the blacklists, which could mean that just the bare details are shown, with an option to expand to see the rest. Example in picture below.
So i can still choose to view the content, even though it has been partially hidden. This is super important in my opinion, as it is possible that the person/persons who puts a user on a blacklist may be doing so for "wrong" reasons. For example, many centralised platforms like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc. routinely censor content and even delete users accounts completely. Yet most often there is an agenda of hiding truth behind this censorship, and the censorship can (and often is) harmful to humanity, creating violence and even death. This (in my learned opinion) is the case very frequently now with regard to the Plan-demic, but there are MANY other cases (like posting about cryptocurrencies). I actually stopped using #Fakebook a few months ago for this reason. I now choose not to support the violence by using that platform. I've also stopped using Linked-In for the same reason, and will likely stop using Twitter soon. At the moment i only use it to (hopefully) bring users to Hive - for Immutable content and Censorship-resistant.The content i post is (again, in my opinion) intended to be for the good of humanity, to be useful to others. For example, a few days ago i made this post @atma.love/home-made-clothes-washing-liquid detailing about how i helped make some eco-friendly laundry detergent (at zero cost). By sharing about this, others may follow my example, thereby reducing pollution (most laundry detergent contains toxic chemiclas) to land & to food grown on that land, and to the people who consume the food. And as a bonus they will not have to spend money on buying the toxic detergents. I also very often post about holistic health, how to cure/reverse/heal/prevent dis-ease. The root cause of all dis-ease being the for-getting of the One True Self, believing that we are these bodies, thinking this life on earth is real. As an example, this picture poem @atma.love/inter-galactic-space-time-dream i shared last week points toward this truth.
To receive rewards in Hive cryptocurreny (an equitable means of exchange - as opposed to FIAT currencies which are a means of control and violence) which i can, do, and will use for the benefit of others. I have sufficient finances for myself already. I do not need to earn more. However, i have many ideas and plans for the benefit of others, which are more likely to come to fruition as more rewards are earned via my posts.
There are many, many more reasons why i post on Hive, but i don't wish to spend hours on my computer writing about them.
Thank you dear friend for poking me a little. This has for sure helped me examine my motives and will likely result in better, more conscious posts in future.
Namaste
Atma
