Mathew Herbert is a British producer, musician and Creative Director of the New Radiophonic Workshop, legendary sound design laboratory. He is also a founder and owner of four labels, Accidental, Lifelike, Soundslike and Accidental JR. Herbert's extensive discography catalogue, consisting more than hundred positions, is obviously vast and stylistically exhaustive, offering everything from nujazz, chill and downtempo through house, minimal and electro-funk to techno. It seems very diverse but majority of his projects are tied together by his trademark - distinctive use of eccentric, everyday sound sampling, live instruments and, so-called, musique concrète production techniques. Speaking about everyday's objects sampling, probably there is nobody in the whole history of music, who released a whole album constructed entirely from the sounds of a pig, except Herbert. Beside of pig-sampling, he is also a head of Mathew Herbert Brexit Big Band, widely promoted in Great Britain by BBC. There is no fun in sharing the most popular, commercial tunes like Sing It Back or I Hadn't Known, if guy is releasing mindblowing stuff for more than 25 years. Piotr Kaliński, undervalued polish electronic music producer known from his broad sonical horizons. Since debut in 2006, ambients, jukes, idm and electronique, inspired by Middle-East sounds and culture blended with UK Raves and live instruments, coming from Hatti Vatti are constantly receiving the most positive reviews from the polish community. He already played at least once in every respected club with quality electronic music in Poland. Performances from Piotr Kaliński were also shown in Latvia, Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland, UK and Japan, so there is a chance that one day he will also arrive to your country and it is worth to be well-prepared for it. In his discography we can find eight EPs and four long play albums, including abstract hip-hop collaboration project with other very talented Polish electronic producer Noon. This pick up was motivated by recent article about polish techno producer written by Hive account@uwelang, admin of Hive Music Community. Picking up one tune was a really difficult decision this time. Thorn apart between favorite esoteric Werk and Hero/In, Raving Foxes decided to show something with with polish accent - Warszawa, polish capital city and one of the most vibrant underground culture scene in Europe.
